"french kids decor"

French Blossom is a beautiful boutique that represents some of the finest French kids designers all under one roof.  You’ve got clothes, toys, decor and accessories on offer; all are delightful and very French.  I like to think of French Blossom as a divine little French Patisserie…  y’know the kind of place you walk in to where you’re suddenly surrounded by the most delectable treats making it impossible to choose just one?  Yup, it’s that kind of place!

"french nursery decor and accessories"

Started by a husband and wife team who lived in Paris for several years, French Blossom is the first boutique of it’s kind.  The couple were hugely inspired by the elegance and creativity seen in French kids fashion and decided to bring it together in one shop.  On offer are brands like Mimi’Lou, Lale, Bakker, Eponime and many more.  While each brand is unique, they all have bags of style and charm.

"atsuyo et akiko babies and kids"

I’ve known about Atsuyo et Akiko for ages and have been meaning to share so here it is today as part of my beautiful boutiques series.  It’s a wonderful New York boutique where you can expect a little bit of magic.  Magic for babies and a bit for boys but mostly for the girls.  On offer are fabulously girly necklaces, hair pins and tutu’s, shiny sparkly shoes and cute bracelets.  But the other thing that really caught my eye were the tee’s and onesies they have.  I’m not a fan of cartoon character adorned clothes but these one’s with mickey mouse and winnie the pooh just work.  I absolutely love the charcoal tee with the gold mickey silhouette.  There are also other very cool tee’s like the strawberry one and more.

The collection of goodies at Atsuyo et Akiko is fresh, it’s different and even a bit ecclectic.  The boutique is owned by two ladies, one with a fashion background and the other with a fine arts one.  The marriage of these two backgrounds shines through in their creations and their take on turning everyday fashion in to something a bit more special.  To feel the magic, head to Atsuyo et Akiko and and check out all their wonderful goodies.

"hand made kids room decorations"

Kalma & Violeta is a small shop started by a mama who has an eye for beauty.  Simple, subtle, stunning beauty.  It’s filled with colourful little objects of desire to decorate kids rooms.  I discovered the lovely Mar Gomez and her shop eons ago and I’ve been meaning to write about it ever since.  All the goodies in Mar’s shop are handmade in Madrid where she lives and as Mar says “…each order we do with love with the desire that the child who receives it, will feel very happy with it.”  It’s this feeling that comes through all the goodies and makes the shop so special.

On offer are lovely coat pegs and hooks, wall clocks, cute hangers, the sweetest bird magnets and more.  It’s little objects like these that take a room from nice to wow.  Kalma & Violeta is the perfect shop to feature in my beautiful boutique series because it is indeed beautiful!  Right from the shop logo to all the shop wares, everything is lovely.  Visit Kalma & Violeta to see the full collection.

"vintage kids furniture and toys from France"

Ooh la, la… this shop is French and fabulous!  Filled with gorgeous vintage finds but also some very carefully chosen new things to compliment the vintage feel of the store.  I love the way the offerings are presented and photographed and I love the offerings themselves.  It’s a space that is unique and very, very interesting.  At Les Petits Bohemes you’ll find one off vintage furniture for kids including chairs and cots and lots of storage furniture.  You’ll also find some unusual and cool vintage toys and vintage nursery decor bits.  Then there are the new pieces which include clothes and some wonderful soft toys and hand made dolls

Les Petits Bohemes is the second shop to feature in my beautiful boutiques series and I can’t think of a shop more fitting.  Beautiful boutiques is all about stores that go beyond the expected, stores that offer more than one or two nice things and stores that are packed with objects of desire.  If you’re putting together a vintage nursery or just looking for some vintage inspiration for kids rooms, then Les Petits Bohemes is unmissable.  They’re based in France as I’m sure you’ve guessed from the name and they ship worldwide.

"Sisters Guild Vintage inspired toys and decor"

I’m starting something new on my blog today.  On the 4th Friday of each month I will bring you an online kids shop that is exceptional and unique.  I’ve called this series ‘Beautiful Boutiques’ as that’s exactly what they are.  To start, I can’t think of a better shop than Sisters Guild.  Sisters Guild is the vision of 2 sisters who really embrace beauty and creativity in everything they do.   They offer kids clothes, toys, decor, party stuff and even stuff for mama’s.  Many of their goodies are vintage inspired; some that will feel familiar from your own childhood, others that will be a new take on an old favourite and yet others that will be completely new ideas.

All the pieces are hand picked by the 2 sisters and are chosen for their appealing looks, their design and their ability to inspire.  You’ll find beautifully made toys that you’ll want to keep forever, timeless clothes that can be handed down from one child to another, pretty little things for yourself or for a good friend and covetable pieces to brighten up your home.  This store is special and that’s why it’s absolutely perfect to set the tone for the ‘Beautiful Boutiques’ series.  Check out Sisters Guild and while you’re there don’t miss their blog… it’s seriously good.
