Cheerful patterns & colourful prints…
While I am a minimalist at heart, I also have a huge soft spot for colourful patterns and floral prints especially when they have a vintage or retro twist. I guess you could call me a ‘closet pattern lover’ or something along those lines. So this ‘closet’ part of me felt a flutter of excitement when I saw the latest offerings by French design house, Mini Labo. Pretty patterns and retro inspired prints are used to make cushions, storage boxes, stationery, toys and much more. While some designs are aimed at children and others at adults, I think most of their stuff would brighten up any room in your home. Mini Labo say they believe in injecting some gaiety and sweetness in to everyday objects to make them that bit more special. I definitely get a cheerful vibe from their offerings and would happily add a bit of this cheer to my home.
Playful designs for big & small…
One of the best things about moving into a new season is the new collections on offer. While summer is my favourite season, I’ve always loved Autumn/Winter lines the most. A couple of weeks ago I shared a beautiful kids clothing collection and since then I’ve wanted to share a new collection of kids toys and decor. I’ve found just the thing with Ferm Living’s new season goodies. Always stylish and fun, Ferm Living is never too cute or too baby-ish. Playful designs mixed with bold patterns come to life in kids throw pillows, soft toys, wall decor and more. Ferm Living also offer an adults range which I think would work very well for kids too. For me, design that transcends age is always the best!
Poetic creations…
You may have seen Lucky Boy Sunday featured here in the past and today I couldn’t resist sharing their latest campaign. It’s hard to put the charm of Lucky Boy Sunday in to words so I guess I could say that there’s a certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ about their creations. The goodies are wonderful but so is the way they put together each campaign with an almost magical and poetic quality to it. The creators say they ‘adore the unsaid’, leaving it up to you dream and imagine what you will…
Sunny yellow things…
A few weeks ago I wrote about some pretty pink things because my daughter informed me that pink was the best colour in the world. She then told me purple was a close second and so I felt inspired to share some lovely lilac things with you. Now she has informed me that yellow is the third best colour so today I have my sunny yellow finds for you. I hadn’t planned for this to become a little series but you’ve told me you enjoy it and I love putting it together so why not:
1. Love the bold yellow and white combo of this stylish origami light shade.
2. How cute are these handmade little newborn booties for boy or girl.
3. A sweet little knitted doll perfect as a clutch toy or pram companion for a baby.
4. Peach and mango popsicles with a burst of bright pink raspberry… delicious and healthy!
Melancholy Mr Fox…
How can anybody not fall in love with this lot?! These fox dolls are the most adorable creatures I’ve seen in a while. From their almost melancholy demeanor which is so endearing, to their little outfits and accessories, there is so much to fall in love with. These beautiful hand made dolls are created in Moscow by Nalogina Lubov who’s attention to detail in her creations is really quite something.
Nalogina also makes other dolls that come with amazing little outfits and accessories but it was these little foxes that stole my heart. Look at that little guy with the blue suitcase… don’t you just feel like adopting him? And what about the aviator… I’m wondering where he’s flying off to. Each creature has so much character and I feel like I can imagine all kinds of things about their little lives. Called Takiyaje dolls, there is no shop but you can email the creator and she’ll make you the doll of your choice.

When I’m feeling blue…
When I’m feeling blue… all I have to do is take a look at you.
I’m longing for blue skies. If you live in London or anywhere in England you’ll know what I mean. If not, you’re probably enjoying blue skies already… lucky you! While I wait I thought I’d cheer us all up with some wonderful blue goodies:
1. “La Casita” cloud pillow with raindrop stickers… 2. Baby alpaca wool clothes for boy or girl… 3. Stars, stripes and solid indigo blue cushions for a nursery… 4. Blue snow-capped mountains wallpaper designed and drawn by an 8 year old… 5. A foxy soft toy* made of re-cycled denim which I discovered while reading Milk Mag… 6. A happy balloon with a your personal message inside for any occasion.
