Steal the look: Cluster of colourful pendant lights

May 26, 2016

Have you discovered my steal the look series yet?  In this series I share really cool, unusual and clever decor ideas that are easy to steal and re-create in your own home.  The last one I shared was a useful and really clever Ikea hack.  Today it’s about thinking outside the box with your lighting.

multi hanging pendant lights

How cool are these pendant lights?  A cluster of different light shades hanging from the ceiling with different coloured cords. How original is that?  Cluster pendent lights are a big trend at the moment but usually you see 3 or 4 of exactly the same light.  Not only does this idea use different (yet complementary) shades but they take it a step further with the colourful cords.  Such a playful and fun idea for a kids room. Even if you played with just two colours, it would be very eye-catching.

This particular cluster pendant light can be bought but you can easily recreate the look with other lights. This idea is really inspiring me as lighting is such an important feature of any room. So when I saw this unusual and striking idea, I started thinking about how I could do something similar in my home.  What do you think? Are you tempted to steal the look?

For this kind of minimal house that they’re shown into I find the pendant lights more than fine, but if I consider them to be in a normal house, less white and more lived (not a vacancy house), I wouldn’t find them so pretty. Allways better than a boring light though!
Greetings for your great job, I just found your blog and love it already!

Thank you for your lovely words about my blog. I think I know what you mean but I think these kind of lights could really look great anywhere – it would just depend on the style of the lights you chose for that particular home if that makes sense! Thanks again.
