4 ways to wear boots

January 29, 2014

boots-test1

I couldn’t imagine getting through Winter without my boots.  This is not only for the comfort and warmth they give but also for the endless styling possibilities.  The same is true for Anya;  come October we go and get her a pair of boots that usually last her till Spring.  And then I practically make her wear them everyday that she’s not in uniform.  I’ve picked out 4 girls boot looks that I’m loving and getting inspired by:

1.  For the littlest girls, ankle boots are perfect and I love the idea of wearing them with a very girly tutu.  2.  Boots and skinny jeans are made for each other but you can also add a blazer for a slightly more dressed up look (as Anya wears).  3.  Mini skirts or mini dresses with knee high boots always look stylish.  4.  Knee high socks peeking out over the top of boots look really cool and I love the scarf thrown in to finish the look.

"colourful girls wellies"

I remember when I was growing up I dreaded rainy days because I knew my mother would bring out the wellies.  I absolutely hated wearing them as they were so blah and boring and came in the most uninspiring green colour {remember the ones?}.  Even as a kid I was fussy about what I wore and those bland green wellies just didn’t cut it.  Fast forward to today and it’s a completely different story with my equally fussy daughter.  She loves wellies and it’s not difficult to see why.  The ones you get now are bright, colourful and stylish and are anything but boring.  We’ve been looking to buy a pair and these boots by Joules caught my eye and my daughters.  She loved the bright blue ones with the floral print and has told me she wants to wear them everyday, come rain or shine!  My favourite was the polka dotted ones but I liked them all.  They’re girly and fun without being cutesy and that always gets my vote.  Apart from girls wellies, Joules also do some cool ones for boys like the stripey navy blue pair which I think would even work on a girl.  But it’s the colourful ones that I fell for because they look great with muted Autumn colours and besides, who doesn’t need a bit of brightness on a rainy day.

Style that shines

August 23, 2010

Super trendy, super cool and super shiny style for 2 to 4 year old girls.  That’s mytoddler girl boots shoes take on these Antik Batik patent boots.  They’re suitable for rain or shine and perfect to keep little legs warm. They come in dark red (which I’m loving big time) and black.  They’re available from size 25, cost £28.40 (reduced from £71) plus £9.50 for delivery. Delivery is on the higher side but they’re sent from Spain and the fat discount on the boots makes up.  I’m guessing they won’t be around for too long at this price.

Talking of style, every time I visit Zara Kids/Baby I get hit by the want stick.  Not everyone has a Zara near them but that won’t be a problem in 11 days time.  I’m so excited to report that Zara kids will be selling online from 2nd September – let the countdown begin.
