You may have come across this new Bobo Choses Summer collection but if you haven’t, it’s unmissable. I’m especially loving all the bold cross, dot and lip prints. I mean how cute is that dotty baby jumpsuit and the crosses bloomer? Just adorable. In the UK you can find a selection at the stylish Orfeo Design boutique.
With a nearly 5 year old, Zara mini has long been out of my life. Last week I popped in there for old times sake and and I realised how much I miss it. I remember finding some of the cutest baby outfits there and for me they’ve still got the sweetest little baby clothes that I’ve seen on the high street. Even though I can’t shop at Zara Mini anymore, I can’t resist checking them out once in a while.
I can’t believe that I haven’t shared this adorable brand with you before! I love Misha & Puff not just for their beautiful hand knitted baby clothes but also for the cute overload. Those little babies look so cosy and pretty in these knits. That pointy pale yellow hat is just the cutest! And the colour palette is very striking too. Misha & Puffs hand knits go from 0 to 24 months so I’ve missed the boat on this one but I still can’t help drooling over the clothes and wishing I had baby to put them in!

When I saw this adorable new collection by Zara mini, it brought back the sweetest memories. I loved dressing my daughter in Zara mini clothes when she was a tiny baby and I think I’ve saved nearly all the outfits she had. The clothes and accessories were always very stylish but also practical and very baby-ish. They are exactly the kind of clothes you imagine a baby should wear and it looks like this latest collection is just as adorable. I also love the styling done by April and May which shows off the collection beautifully by using things like those wooden sticks that represent the stylish and understated colour palette Unfortunately my daughter is now way too big for Zara mini clothes but I still check out their collections as I love gifting things like those cute little rompers to friends with newborns.
Brands that describe themselves as alternative aren’t my thing. Most of the time I feel they try too hard to be different for the sake of being different. Then last week I came across Nununu which describes itself as exactly that – ‘alternative baby fashion’ – and much as I hate to admit it, I do like it, a lot. Nununu is different but not crazy different, not unwearable different, not different purely for the sake of different and that’s what I love. Their clothes are seriously cool yet very wearable and look extremely comfortable for babies and toddlers. I’m loving that black and white star dress and this sprinkle all in one playsuit. I wish I had known about Nununu when my daughter was a baby but luckily many of their clothes go up to 6 years so I still have time to get a piece of this ‘alternative’ cool for her wardrobe.

I think I might be a little bit obsessed with these sunsuits and playsuits… how sweet are they? Made by wolfechild in Brooklyn, New York, these little clothes just scream cuteness. That red and blue vintage floral print one is my favourite because it’s such a happy piece. Wolfechild only have a small range of clothes mostly for babies up to 2 years but each piece is quite beautiful.
Minimalism, especially in kids clothes, always grabs my attention. 1 + in the family is a new brand from Spain that expertly combines minimalism with practicality and comfort. They offer a small range of stylish and wearable clothes for 0-24 month old babies. I’m loving the combination of stripes and solids as well as the bold pink in the collection. 1 + in the family is the creation of Gemma Mases, a freelance designer who launched her first collection at the same time as her little niece was born late last year. It’s only available in Spain so far but I’m sure it won’t be long before it hits the rest of Europe.
In recent years baby and children’s clothing has evolved a lot and it’s so refreshing to see. Gone are the days where everything had to be pink, blue and fussy… thankfully! There are new stylish shops popping up everywhere especially Europe and it’s these little independents that I love discovering. My latest find is mie (ito)… a French store that makes beautifully simple clothes for 0-6 year olds in small quantities.
Often times the simpler the clothes, the better they look. I guess I am a minimalist at heart so this collection really appeals to me and I love the hint of embellishment that some of the pieces have. Also on offer are some accessories like the black and white striped garland and some lovely bibs. From reading their blog I gathered that mie (ito) may start a bedding line soon and I can’t wait to see it.
I opened my inbox one fine day in April and found a message about a new baby collection. I took a look and my jaw dropped… before me was an absolutely exquisite range of baby clothes called ‘Tree House’ by Belgian designer Anja Schwerbrock. I then filed away the email so carefully that I couldn’t find it again despite looking frantically. Last night, much to my utter delight, I stumbled across it so here it is for you to see (before I lose it again!). I hope you love it as much as I do.
This baby collection is all about simplicity that oozes classy style. Colours are muted, styles are minimal and together they create a range full of elegance and sophistication that can often be lacking in baby clothes. I’ve pictured nearly all the pieces because each one is so beautiful, yet so wearable. I’m absolutely adoring the navy jumpsuit with tie detail as well as the grey dress. Anja also creates clothes for women and those are no less stunning. This is her new venture in to the world of baby clothes and I for one, can’t wait to see her next collection. You can visit Anja Schwerbrock to see all the pieces and while you’re there do take a look at the photo’s of her store in Antwerp… another stunner! This lady certainly has a sense of style second to none. There is no online store yet but it’s coming soon.
I love the richness of fabrics from the Far East, so when I saw these baby kimonos and onesies made of such fabrics, I was instantly drawn to them. These are the creations of Canadian born Redfish Kids who started their children’s clothing line after they were inspired by the street fashions of Hong-Kong, Tokyo and Shanghai. Redfish use fabrics that are bold and expressive to create these adorable kimono style baby grows and the more traditional rompers too. They also make clothes for older boys and girls but it was these baby outfits and their wonderful prints that first grabbed my attention. There are prints for boy and girl babies and there are some like the red and gold floral one which would work for either.
