Recently Anya’s had loads of birthday party invites; there has practically been a party every weekend for a few weeks now. I’m a big fan of giving books to kids when I don’t know them well enough to know their interests so that has been my gift of choice. But I’m always looking for different ways to wrap these gifts so when I came across these plywood elephants I thought they would make really cute gift tags.

Happy, pretty things…

I love discovering little shops full of pretty things that maybe you don’t necessarily need in your life but if you surround yourself with, you know they will brighten your day each time you see them. Paper Plane Home is one of those stores where I want nearly everything they sell because I know when I see those goodies dotted around my home, it will always bring a smile to my face. The store has lots of cute objects to decorate your home with and there’s plenty for kids as well as mama’s. I’m especially loving the apple shaped cushions, the pretty gift tags and also the rainy day tray. Visit Paper Plane Home to see more.
Update Sept 2014: Sadly Paper Plane Home has closed down.
Super fun birthday cards for kids
February 7, 2012
I’m a bit of a stationery fiend. I love buying the stuff and stashing it away for use one day. Be it cool notebooks, pretty gift tags, quirky cards or gorgeous wrapping paper, I can’t resist. And one of my favourite stores for the most unusual and most beautiful paper goodies is the Sydney based online store called Upon a Fold. Today I’ve rounded up 6 of their cards and gift tags that are all super pretty, super fun or super cool in some way. I’m just loving the gorgeous flower gift tags as well the the white dove card. The chocolate lolly and the lollipop cards look good enough to eat while the clown card is colourful and fun! Last is the beautiful elephant card where I’m loving the white with the hint of red. Justine, the owner, seriously has an eye for the most fabulous paper goodies so head to Upon a Fold and have a browse. Worldwide shipping is offered.
If you’d like to see another of my favourites from Justine’s store, check out this super simple but elegant bird mobile from Japan.
Update July 2014: Sadly Upon a Fold shop is no more.
