blue jumpsuit for girls

One of the best parts of the changing of the seasons has got to be the new fashions that arrive.  While the weather may not always do what it’s supposed to, at least we know that we will get new fashion to covet, each season.  One of my favourite things to buy Anya each Spring/Summer season is a jumpsuit.  They are so practical and easy to wear, allowing kids to move freely and do what they do. And with so many great jumpsuits for kids out there, it’s hard to resist.  And not just for girls.  There are some seriously cool jumpsuits for boys too – I’ve picked out some of the best below.

Peachy & playful…

April 23, 2015

peach summer clothes girlsI’m a big fan of playful clothes for kids of any age.  Who said rompers should only be for babies?  Even though Anya is six, I still want her to have lots of fun clothes in her wardrobe – heck I even want some for myself!  So I went looking for fabulously fun clothes and accessories in peach for the coming Summer months and here are my favourites.  I cannot resist that Mr Shy romper and those ice-cream knee socks are just too cute too:

caramel SS15 ebabee

A quick start to the week today with this beautiful new Spring Summer collection.  Possibly one of my favourite UK brands for kids, each and every season their new collections don’t disappoint.  Classic, understated looks that are so stunning in their simplicity.  The collections for boys and girls are both equally beautiful.  With the boys I’m loving the vibrant colours mixed with neutrals and also the range of cool, summery trousers on offer.  If I had a boy, I really think Caramel would be high on my list of favourites for him.  And for the girls it’s classic cut dresses and some beautiful separates too.  Now all we need is Summer to hurry up and arrive!

"kids on the moon Poland"

I have been resisting saying goodbye to Summer because it was all too fleeting for me.  But come September, I have no choice but to accept that my favourite season has passed for another year.  This Summer we managed to spend a lot of time outside enjoying many of London’s outdoor spaces and events but we also managed to get away and spend a bit of time in the English countryside.  Apart from missing all the outdoor time, I will miss Summer fashion too.  One of my favourite pieces in Anya’s Summer wardrobe was this gifted flowy top with the soft feather drawing.

This beautiful top is a limited edition fashion meets art collaboration between Kids on the Moon and Taiwanese artist Hsiao-Ron Cheng.  It’s such a comfy top too with it’s flowing style and leather tie detail at the neck.  Kids on the Moon are one of my favourite kids clothing brands because they always offer something different and something original.  Just like this top with the feathers and the unexpected leather tie straps, every piece of theirs has originality and unexpected details but never compromises on comfort and practicality for kids.  I can’t wait to see what Kids on the Moon have in store for us for Autumn and Winter.

"100 cotton girls summer dresses"This weekend we went strawberry (and veggie) picking.  Not only have I never taken Anya before but I had never been.  I so enjoyed picking my own vegetables knowing that I would be able to go home and cook them (hello broad bean bruschetta).  Anya too had a ball picking strawberries but then refused to eat them (fussy eater doesn’t even begin to describer her)!  This is one of the things that I love most about Summer – spending time outdoors as a family, doing fun things that everybody can enjoy.  My other Summer love is the fashion, especially the beautiful and colourful Summer dresses for little girls like the green dress that Anya wears.

anya-goodall-test3This Sophie dress was gifted to us by the talented designer Molly who is known for her adorable animal coats but has now extended her range to include lots of pretty and very girly Summer clothes.  Every piece that Molly offers is handmade making each item even more special.   This blue-green dress is one of my favourites in her collection because it’s so simple, easy and comfy to wear and looks so pretty.  The hand block-printed fabric and the little details like the ruffle hem and front tie just add to the charm of this dress.

I can’t wait to go back again to do some more veggie and fruit picking and next time I might even convince Anya to eat the strawberries.  After all how can anybody not like strawberries?  And thank you to Molly for this lovely dress and don’t forget to check out the rest of her Summer dresses.

"best colours to wear in Summer"

How gorgeous are these shades for Summer?  When I saw those women’s dresses I totally fell for the colours.  Fresh, soft and flirty, perfect for those glorious sunny days ahead (I hope!).  And the kids clothes are no less beautiful, especially those lemon yellow dungarees.  Seeing colours like these in the shops makes me happy and hopeful for a long, hot Summer.

"Spanish kids fashion"

A little while I ago I shared this amazing coat from Pepito by Chus which so many of you told me you loved as much as I did.  Today I wanted to share their new Spring Summer collection which is fresh and beautiful.  I love how all the pieces are simple and mostly in solid colours but then embellished with a bow, a ruffle or an unusual collar.  The cuts are classic and so, so chic.  The whole collection is feminine without being fussy.  These are the kind of girly clothes that every little girl needs – the kind that look so comfy yet so chic and pretty.

I’m always drawn to the girls stuff because I have a girl but the boys range is no less beautiful.  Crisp white collarless shirts and cute shorts again with unexpected details like those pink elbow patches on the white shirt – I love that!  There’s actually a range of elbow patches you can choose from but the pink are my favourite.

Pepito by Chus is a fairly new Spanish label started by a mama of three.  I am a huge fan already and can’t wait to see what she creates for her next collection.

"Louise Misha SS14""louise misha Spring Summer 14""louise misha cotton scarfs""Louise Misha SS14""Louise misha Spring Summer 14"Summer 2014 by Louise Misha is beautiful.  Just look at the fresh colours, flirty styles and girly details.   It’s making me dream of a Summer full of fresh fruit, homemade lemonade, cotton candy and long sunny days spent outdoors.  I love the whole collection and I know Anya will more than approve… which little girl wouldn’t?  This collection isn’t available yet but it’s coming soon.

Wolf & Rita

"wolf and rita summer 2014"

Chillies, flowers, birds and stripes… a vibrant mix of prints and patterns make up this new Summer 2014 collection by Wolf & Rita.  From Portugal, Wolf & Rita started with the aim of creating the perfect, practical and sophisticated shirt for boys and girls.  They’ve not only done that but also offer other pieces like dresses, skirts and the coolest baggy trousers.  This collection is great for having some fun with patterns and colours like mixing those red and white striped bottoms with any of the bird print tops.  But there are solid colours too if mixing bold patterns isn’t your thing.  This is Wolf & Rita’s second collection and by far my favourite.  I’m just wishing those belted tops came in my size…

"girls silk satin bikini"What’s not to love about this wonderful new collection by Wovenplay for Spring Summer 2013?  Full of understated drama and whimsy coupled with that magical touch that only Wovenplay can deliver.  This may be my favourite ever Wovenplay collection but then again I think that about every new collection of theirs.

"dressing up clothes for girls"In every collection I usually have a favourite piece but here I’m struggling to choose just one or even two pieces.  Everything is divine from the silk satin bikini to the orange stripey sunsuit.   Truly magical stuff…

"purple girls swimsuit"I’m off to dream about adding a little bit of Wovenplay magic to Anya’s wardrobe…
