Colour blocking is a trend that’s been around for ages and it’s thankfully not going nowhere. It’s such a simple way to add so much style to a look. Especially if you’re more of a minimalist and don’t want busy prints and patterns, a simple colour block dress or skirt is the answer. Just like that blue and white shirt dress that pops so much more than if it was plain blue or plain white. You can create your own look too by pairing two solid colours together. I’m loving the colour block look for mums and babies and definitely will be wearing something similar over the Summer (if it ever comes!).

The quirky bear tee!
June 23, 2015
Have you checked out our ebabee shop recently? We have a selection of some of the cutest fashion for Summer including this versatile bear tee. This white bear t-shirt is quirky and cool, much like a lot of the Korean fashion we have on offer. It can be mixed and matched with skirts, trousers, shorts and even bloomers. Here are three looks we are loving with the bear tee:
First up, for a striking look pair the bear t-shirt with our feather print skirt and how about adding those fun fried egg knee socks to complete the look?
Next, we’re loving these cute green bloomers with the tee and those mustache knee socks just complete the look. A sweet Summer look!
Last is the bear tee with our gorgeous peachy-pink tutu. The subtle gold band of the tutu skirt perfectly compliments the gold crown on the t-shirt. A stylish party look for any little girl.
What’s your favourite look?

Gorgeous Summer knitwear
June 11, 2015
Do you do knitwear in Summer? I am so in love with this Spanish range of handmade knitwear for kids. These bright and colourful cotton knit sweaters are perfect especially for those cooler Summer days. Aren’t the colours just gorgeous? All of these sweaters are unisex and handmade to last so they can be passed down from one sibling to another. In addition to the sweaters, there are cardigans too and like the sweaters, many have contrasting coloured pockets which are so cute. The sweaters even come in larger sizes for women. While I am not in to wearing matching clothes with Anya, I think I would have to make an exception for these cotton sweaters. Perhaps navy for me and yellow for her.
Summer style: A maxi dress for mini
May 27, 2015
I have been looking for a maxi dress for Anya for ages. I really wonder why maxi dresses for little girls are so rare. They may not be the most practical for playing in a park or running around but they are great for other occasions like a meal out or even a birthday party. I finally found one last week and I had to snap it up. They look so cool and stylish and Anya loved wearing it and twirling around. In fact it’s been a struggle to get it off her – she even wanted to sleep with it on!
We decided to pair it with orange ankle boots to give the maxi dress a bit more of an edgier look. Sandals would have been the obvious choice but I didn’t want too girly a look. And besides we’re still waiting for proper sandal weather in London – will it ever come? While out in the dress so many people stopped us and asked where the dress was from. We were mostly stopped by mums who also wanted a long dress for their little girls. Have you come across any maxi dresses for little girls? I’d love to hear as I would like to get a couple more for the Summer.

Summer style: The jumpsuit
August 7, 2014
Jumpsuits seem to be all the rage at the moment and I’m really loving this Summer trend. Easy to wear, comfy and they look so cool too. My favourtie jumpsuit purchase this season has been this super soft animal-esque print one for Anya. In muted deep plums and pinks almost bordering on brown, the colours are unusual and the style is fitted yet relaxed. It’s the perfect Summer outfit to ‘jump’ around in and Anya loves wearing it. Now I’m on the lookout for a jumpsuit for me before this glorious Summer is over. Would you wear a jumpsuit? Any suggestions for a cool and flattering adult one?

Summer dresses and strawberry fields
July 8, 2014
This weekend we went strawberry (and veggie) picking. Not only have I never taken Anya before but I had never been. I so enjoyed picking my own vegetables knowing that I would be able to go home and cook them (hello broad bean bruschetta). Anya too had a ball picking strawberries but then refused to eat them (fussy eater doesn’t even begin to describer her)! This is one of the things that I love most about Summer – spending time outdoors as a family, doing fun things that everybody can enjoy. My other Summer love is the fashion, especially the beautiful and colourful Summer dresses for little girls like the green dress that Anya wears.
This Sophie dress was gifted to us by the talented designer Molly who is known for her adorable animal coats but has now extended her range to include lots of pretty and very girly Summer clothes. Every piece that Molly offers is handmade making each item even more special. This blue-green dress is one of my favourites in her collection because it’s so simple, easy and comfy to wear and looks so pretty. The hand block-printed fabric and the little details like the ruffle hem and front tie just add to the charm of this dress.
I can’t wait to go back again to do some more veggie and fruit picking and next time I might even convince Anya to eat the strawberries. After all how can anybody not like strawberries? And thank you to Molly for this lovely dress and don’t forget to check out the rest of her Summer dresses.

Collected for mama & baby: Shades of Summer
May 15, 2014
How gorgeous are these shades for Summer? When I saw those women’s dresses I totally fell for the colours. Fresh, soft and flirty, perfect for those glorious sunny days ahead (I hope!). And the kids clothes are no less beautiful, especially those lemon yellow dungarees. Seeing colours like these in the shops makes me happy and hopeful for a long, hot Summer.

Noughts, crosses & kisses
May 12, 2014
You may have come across this new Bobo Choses Summer collection but if you haven’t, it’s unmissable. I’m especially loving all the bold cross, dot and lip prints. I mean how cute is that dotty baby jumpsuit and the crosses bloomer? Just adorable. In the UK you can find a selection at the stylish Orfeo Design boutique.
Happy Friday + a happy collection
April 25, 2014
This week I’m especially glad it’s Friday. It’s been a long week with a lot of travel so I’m glad to be home and look forward to sleeping a lot! Before I leave you for the weekend, I wanted to share this happy new collection by Tiny Cottons. The prints are so adorable and the colours so cheerful and percfect for Summer. This collection brought a big smile to my face and I think it will do the same for you.
Have a happy weekend x
We’re going on a Moon Safari
April 2, 2014
Are you a little wild at heart? Do you like something a bit out of the ordinary? Then this ‘Moonsafari’ collection is for you. You’ll find camouflage prints, warrior stripes, wing like ruffles and bubble skirts in colours that reflect the wilder side of nature. Kids on the Moons latest Spring Summer 2014 collection is so striking. I love how they’ve got a real sense of wildness and adventure in the collection but it doesn’t take over the clothes.
Dressing up and pretending is one of the great joys of childhood. In our home this is an everyday thing and I am all for it. This collection re-inforces that spirit of adventure and fantasy that all kids have. Some of my favourites include those cool grey bubble shorts and that vest with the camouflage ruffles that is girly with a hint of edginess.
This new Spring Summer collection by Kids on the Moon is special – it’s different without being over the top. And most importantly it’s very comfy for kids to wear and children can be children in these clothes. What’s not to love?
