My daughter’s just started ballet lessons and wants to pirouette at every turn! Her birthday is coming up quite soon so because of this new obsession, I’m thinking of a ballet themed party for her. While looking for inspiration and a birthday outfit, I came across this new collection by kids on the moon and I fell for it. 
The tutu’s and the tutu inspired dresses come in the prettiest of colours that have an unusual duskiness to them. Then there are the simple striped or solid dresses embellished with a striking bow. The entire collection is simply beautiful and the photo styling is gorgeous too. Since I have a daughter I’m focusing on the girls stuff but Kids on the moon have plenty of cool style for the boys too.

I recently came across this new collection of kids clothes from Poland and I fell for their tutu’s. Little girls and tutu’s are a match made in heaven especially when they’re paired with something casual and unfussy like this cloud jersey top. And besides, which little girl doesn’t like a tutu? My daughter is a huge fan and would wear hers everyday if she was allowed.
Kids on the Moon make tutu’s in the most beautiful colours from soft pastels to the darkest shades. Their tutu’s look like they’re soft and have loads of movement giving them such a carefree feel which I’m loving. They also make other really cute stuff for both boys and girls like stripey mustache tee’s, cat sweatshirts and more.
Kids on the Moon haven’t yet opened their online shop but it’s coming soon and I can’t wait! Even if you’ve only got boys, do check out their collection as you won’t be disappointed with the cool sweats and tees on offer.

One of my absolute favourite brands from the States has to be Wovenplay. Dreamy and theatrical clothes, filled with wonder and imagination is what you get from each collection and this latest Autumn/Winter 2012 one is no exception. I’m loving the cape and the neon pink dotted through the collection. Actually, who am I kidding… I’m loving it all. That tutu dress with the electric blue top is so striking and I know if my daughter owned it she would never take it off! Little girls love dressing up and with these clothes you can do just that everyday, not just at dressing up play times. This new collection is available now from the wonderful Line + Liv boutique.

Pink seems to be the colour of the moment in this house. My daughter is beyond obsessed with the colour and yesterday even asked if she could have ‘pink teeth’! While I’m not a blue for boy/pink for girl type of mama, I have no objection to pink in moderation… just like any other colour. When there are so many wonderful colours to choose from why restrict yourself to just one or two. But since we’re thinking pink these days, I went in search of some pretty pink things and here’s what I found:
1. Love this origami pendant light which comes with a choice of pretty pastel coloured cables so you can mix and match … 2. This is one of the most gorgeous tutu’s I’ve seen in a while… the vibrant, almost neon pink colour is so striking. 3. Just looking at these beautiful pink raspberry cookies makes me want to head to the kitchen and get baking… so delicious! 4. Last is this super cute polka dotted cloud cushion which would make a very sweet cot companion.
