"cute Winter hats scarves tights for kids"

Winter has literally arrived overnight.  This morning I was rummaging around Anya’s wardrobe and mine to pull out all our Winter scarves, hats and gloves.  While I always dread the cold, I do love the fashion that goes with it especially the accessories.  They keep you warm and they look so good.  Especially the stuff out there for kids.  From playful and fun accessories like these to more minimal styles, there is something for every taste.  Today I’m loving the idea of adding a playful twist to a kid’s outfit so I’ve rounded up some of the cutest and most fun Winter accessories out there.  Those leopard print knee-high socks – want!

Focus on feathers!

October 22, 2014

Skirts are one of my favourite pieces of clothing for little girls, especially in Winter.  I love how you can create so many different looks with one simple skirt by mixing and matching with different tights, leggings and tops.  Add a pair of boots or a pair of Mary Janes to change the look yet again.  One of my favourite skirts in my new shop is this feather print skirt.  From the deep rusty red colour to the bold black feathers and the flared style, I think this skirt is such a great piece that can be worn in so many ways through the Winter.  So here are a few ways I would mix and match with different tops and tights or socks:

Pleated panel jumper | Feather print skirt | Striped footless tights | Gold ankle boots

LOOK 4
Striped tee | Feather print skirt | Star print tights | Floral print boots

I love a bit of mixing patterns and prints so I’ve gone for some of those looks.  I also love wearing unexpected colours together – like the rusty red tights with the purple boots. My favourite look is probably the first one with the animal sweatshirt.  What’s your favourite look?

P.S. My shop is one week old today!  I still can’t believe I’m writing the words ‘my shop.  I’ve been overwhelmed with the positive response from you guys so thank you so much.  And thank you to all of you have have bought – hope you love the clothes as much as I do – nomita x

"styliash black kids fashion"

When it comes to the cooler months, my wardrobe immediately goes back to black.  There is nothing more chic than an all black look especially in Winter.  This year I’ve been thinking about introducing more black in to Anya’s wardrobe too.  Maybe a little surprising for a kid, but she does like black and never objects to wearing it.  Perhaps she wants to be more like mommy – who knows but a girl can dream, right? : )  Anyway, thinking about this I went searching to see what was out there.  I found some beautiful black clothes for kids that are so chic that I wouldn’t mind some for myself, especially those boots and the Winter hat!  And how gorgeous is that herringbone dress with the ribbon detail?  Here are my favourite finds:

1.  herringbone dress with ribbon back | 2.  pom pom ears hat | 3. colour block baby onesie | 4. pleated panel wool jumper | 5.  flared skirt with silver sparkles | 6.  two-tone leather boots

"tocoto vintage for kids Uk"

Do you know Tocoto Vintage?  If not, you need to check them out.  From Spain, they have been making the most adorable clothes for babies for a few years.  For the first time they have expanded their range to include clothes for 2 to 8 year olds and this new Autumn Winter collection is understated, stylish and has their signature vintage touch.  The clothes come in beautiful muted colours, soft fabrics with chic little details that look great but are also very cosy and comfy to wear for boy or girl.

I’m loving those charcoal grey ‘tomboy’ overalls because I think every little girl needs a little dose of tomboy style once in a while.  And also that grey sweater with the adorable ruffle trim.  Amongst all the charcoal is that pinky-plum colour and some very deep midnight blues all coming together to create a gorgeous colour palette for the Winter months ahead.  Even though I never look forward to the colder months, I can’t help but get excited about stylish Winter fashion like this.

"misha lulu Autumn Winter 2014"

Do you remember Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys?  I was a big fan of the Nancy Drew books and I remember my brother being crazy about The Hardy Boys.  I loved the spirit of adventure and what (at the time) seemed to be the most exciting mysteries ever.  I think I even wanted to be her at one stage!  Now, decades later this new Fall/Winter collection inspired by the whole Nancy Drew era has me smitten.

"retro childrens clothes"

Looking at this collection, you can’t help but think spies and mysteries, detectives and top-secret missions from a by-gone era.  How fun is that for any little kid?  With a strong retro vibe and beautiful Autumnal colours, this latest collection is so playful and charming.  I love everyday clothes like these that allow children to pretend play and transport themselves in to their very own make believe world.

Inspired by their daughters obsession with spies and mysteries, this husband and wife team created this newest collection.  I’m a big fan of Misha Lulu already but this latest collection is my favourite!
