"small toys storage shelf"

What a cool way to store and display all your bambino’s mini junk treasures.  Lets face it, these kind of little, tiny toys seem to multiply faster than rabbits.  They get under your feet, in the washing machine, under sofa cushions, in your boots (yup, that hurts)… it can feel like an invasion of plastic pests.  I can’t think of anything better than making a feature of them.  And these simple white floor to ceiling shelves do just that.  Lot’s of little colourful toys lined up against the clean white look super cool and very stylish.  To add even more pizazz to your display, stick some lights in the shelves.

This creative toy storage shelf is from a very cool home in Perth, Australia.  The mama and papa in question have created a home that looks super hot but still functions as a family home for them and their 2 bambino’s.  To see more pictures of their beautiful space head to lmnop, an Aussie kids magazine brimming with fun ideas and lots of happy style finds.

"Organic cotton elephant bib"

Baby bibs can often be a bit too cutesy for my liking.  But this elephant bib is super cute without an ounce of cutesy-ness.  Just the way I like it.  The plain colours with a simple, child-like elephant illustration make for a bib that’s sweet and stylish.  Made by Amy from Canada, this bib is from her Etsy shop.  Also for sale are an equally cute polka dot panda one and a cityscape one.  The bibs are organic cotton and cost $19.26 each plus $5.35 shipping to the UK.  While you’re over at Amy’s delectable store, don’t miss her sweet little sandwich pouches.  They’re more than worth a view.

"di calsse japanese paper mobile"

"Di classe Japanese paper mobile"

Japanese design is ridiculously cool and I’m a gargantuan fan.  Today I bring you a finer than fine example of Japanese design.  When I spotted these paper mobiles by Di Classe, I nearly pee’d my pants!  Cool doesn’t even begin to describe the awsomeness that this is.  Three different mobiles made out of jet black paper that would look amazing in a cool white nursery.  Inspired by the traditional Japanese art of paper cutting but given a modern twist, what a unique design statement these would make.  On offer are a birdcage complete with a little birdy, a frame and a rose wreath.  Hang all 3 together and watch your bambino get mesmerised… after all newborns do see black and white first.  Head to Bouf where these mobiles cost £12 plus delivery at £2.  You’ll have to be patient as they come all the way from Japan but it’s so worth the wait.

"La Sardine doudou kit"… with a little help of course.  Check out these quirky little beasts by the French la Sardine.  You get a complete soft toy making kit with a pattern, the fabric, instructions and even the stuffing.   If sewing isn’t your thing, I bet you can still give this a go.  And after you’re done, you can proudly say that you actually made a soft toy for your bambino.  Impressive!  On offer are a range of creatures, all with quirky but cool looks.  My favourite has got to be the black chicken type thing but they’re all pretty cool.  I’m even wondering if I should put my non-existent sewing skills to the test.  Visit La Sardine where you’ll find lots of these soft toy kits and other DIY kits too.

"Colourful Nursery wall art"

When I spotted these nursery wall prints from Down Under I felt crazy giddy with desire.  What a feast for my little eyes that very nearly popped out of my little head.  The bold colour combo’s,  the animals, the shapes all together create art that is so, so pleasing to look at.  And these delights aren’t just for nursery walls, they’re spot on for kids of all ages and big kids like us too.  I love a find that has no age boundries.  The creators of these pieces are a boy-girl duo called Kristina Sostarko and Jason Odd.  And what a talented duo they are.  To get this gorgeousness for your walls head to their shop called Inaluxe.  Most of the prints cost AUD 33 and shipping to the UK is at a very fair and flat rate of AUD 9.50.  If not for yourself, gift it to an expectant mama and watch your gift stand way-out from the crowd.

"Ruby and Ginger Nappy Wallet"Nappy wallets and travel change mats.  We need’em but gawd, they can be sleep-inducingly dull.  Not this one, oh no… this one’s gonna make you the envy of the baby changing rooms.  Whip it out of your handbag and watch the other mama’s go green.  These travel changing sets are by Ruby & Ginger, two creative mama’s hot on style without a massive price tag (we love’m already!).  The set includes a nappy wallet, a change mat and a wipes case and all this for £15.  Head on over to Ruby and Gingers to get yourself some sizzlin’ style.  And keep your eyes peeled for the new stuff they keep adding to their delicious range.

"Vintage school table and chairs"

"Vintage school desk and chair"When I spotted this mini vintage play school table and chairs I could’ve cartwheeled my way to New York… I wanted it so bad!  It’s made by Restoration Hardware, a hot US store that sadly hasn’t graced our European shores.  This vintage kids school table has a strong industrial vibe which only adds to it’s drool factor.  I can see it working a treat especially in a large open play space.  My lovely US readers can head to Restoration Hardware and get their hands on the table for $449 and the chairs are $189 for a set of 2.  My European readers, admire from afar and weep… I weep with you.

"Nursery decoration hanging ornaments"I was flitting about Etsy when I spotted these little house hanging decorations.  I stopped flitting and had a closer look.  I wasn’t disappointed; these little soft house ornaments are just the sweetest things ever!  My head started whirring with nursery decoration ideas… the possibilities are many, many, many.  You could make your own mobile with these houses, hang them in a frame, hang them from the ceiling, adorn bookshelves or hang from wardrobe handles.  I’m sure all you creative mama’s out there can come up with even more exciting ways to use these sweet little houses.  These hanging nursery decorations come as a set of 10 from Syko’s Shop on Etsy.  The set of 10 costs €65 plus €8 delivery.

"Birds of Feather melamine plates"

The sun has got his hat on, hip-hip-hip-hooray… as the song goes.  It’s true, the sun has finally decided to grace our shores.  And that can only mean lots of barbecues, picnics and al-fresco eating galore.  So, I’ve been on the hunt for some melamine plates.  My search ended when I found these Birds of Feather plates.  How wonderful are they?  They’re almost too good to eat from… almost!  The rich colours and the beautiful images inspired by the outdoors combine to create true stunners.  These Birds of Feather melamine plates are by Pocketo and cost $40 for a set of 4 and they offer worldwide shipping.  Pocketo is a hot US based design shop with the philosophy ‘art for your everyday’, and I for one subscribe whole heartedly to this philosophy.
