Did you catch my new series ‘steal the look’ last time? It’s all about sharing clever, stylish and useful decor ideas that are easy to replicate. Last week’s was a really cute idea that will delight any kid! For my second idea to steal, it’s this organised peg board which contains one of the best Ikea hacks. Have you spotted the Ikea hack yet?
This kids peg board and desk space is organised with Ikea bekvam spice racks. What a clever idea. They’ve painted the spice racks to match the rest of the look and used them to store bigger things that you wouldn’t be able to pin on to a peg board. And the racks are movable so they can be switched around as your child’s needs change. The result is a very organised desk space for a kid, that holds everything you need and will grow with your child too. Of course this idea isn’t just for kids. This ikea hack would work so well in your own home office or crafting space too.
In addition, I also spotted that the desk they’ve used is an Ikea trestle table – they’ve just painted the trestle legs to match the minty green look they’ve gone for. I’ve had my eye on this table for when I do up my own home office/study in the coming months. But the star of the show is those spice racks – just brilliant!
