When Ebabee met Wild Boys & Girls!

Do you know Wild Boys & Girls? It’s a new label of purely unisex t-shirts and decor. There is no boys section or girls section but instead everything is for everyone. It’s so refreshing to see more unisex brands popping up – I am all for kids fashion that can be worn by both boys and girls and that’s why when I discovered Wild Boys & Girls, I had to collaborate with them.

I wonder what they were plotting!

Annie, the founder and designer, and I decided to organise a play date with our kids and mix and match up the clothes our kids wore – some from my shop and some from Annie’s collection. As you can see (in the top picture), Felix is wearing the black & white feather print trousers from my shop which are supposed to be for girls but doesn’t he look so cool? And Anya wears one of the Wild Boys & Girls tee’s with my tutu.

There is so much amazing choice out there for gender specific clothes but not so much for unisex clothes. So it’s great to see a new brand doing purely unisex kids clothes. In the past I have often shopped for Anya in the boys section but maybe it is easier for a girl to wear boys clothes? So I’m wondering, would you consider looking at the girls section for your little boys? Or do the clothes have to specifically be called unisex before you would consider them?

I’m a big fan of playful clothes for kids of any age. Who said rompers should only be for babies? Even though Anya is six, I still want her to have lots of fun clothes in her wardrobe – heck I even want some for myself! So I went looking for fabulously fun clothes and accessories in peach for the coming Summer months and here are my favourites. I cannot resist that Mr Shy romper and those ice-cream knee socks are just too cute too:

The prettiest printed skirts {on sale too}

Today it’s all about skirt love. These are a few of my favourite skirts from the ebabee shop. And in even better news, they’re all on sale. All can be worn with boots or ballerina flats, with tights or without. I love mixing and matching patterns, colours and prints and love that all these skirts are versatile enough to do just that with. The feather skirt would look great with a simple striped top, the floral one with a contrasting solid coloured top and the bear one with a polka dot top. I can’t choose a favourite but Anya’s been eyeing the bear skirt and asking for it since Christmas so I know which one she favours. Do you have a favourite?

Ebabee Christmas Gift Guide 2014: Gifts for boys

Yesterday I shared my favourite Christmas clothes for girls from our shop so today it’s the turn of the boys. Do you gift your boys clothes? I don’t know if boys get as excited about clothes as girls but if they do, I’ve picked out some fabulous pieces that they will enjoy wearing. Our boys collection is a bit smaller than the girls one but each piece is hand-picked and slightly unusual. And we have some very cool pieces that are big on comfort and style like the strapped trousers as well as the geometric dot trousers. With Christmas fast approaching (how did that happen so quickly?!) I’ve been thinking about gifts and outfits for Anya. And with her birthday a few weeks before Christmas, I always need to think about that celebration too. This year with the launch of my Korean kids clothing shop, I can’t help but gift her some clothes from there – it’s too tempting and easy when it’s all in front of me! Besides, I do love all the stuff otherwise I wouldn’t have chosen it. So as part of this years gift lists, here is a Christmas edit for the girls with a special discount for you – see details at end of post. These clothes will make beautiful Christmas gifts for any little girl or why not let her choose her favourite? When shopping for Anya, I often shortlist my favourtie pieces and then let her choose from those – it means there’s no risk of her picking something crazy and over the top but she also gets to be involved.

First is my dress edit. Whether you’re looking for something unusual, classic or quirky we have something for you. A small selection but one carefully picked. The Levine dress is probably the most Christmasy of them all being red. The peter pan collar and the defined waist make this a classic piece with vintage touches that really stand out. Next is the quirky Helena dress – a see through lace over-dress which is girly but very cool. It can be worn over leggings or jeans with a plain top or something more elaborate for an even quirkier look. It’s different and not your conventional Christmas dress but we love a little whimsy around here. Last is possibly my favourite – the Erba dress. It’s pictured with a top under but to be honest, I love it worn on it’s own. A very unusual dress with an unexpected herringbone trim that looks stunning on. This one will probably be my choice of dress for Anya this Christmas.

If you prefer mixing and matching, we have some gorgeous separates too. For the separates we had to pick the Magritte top. In soft cotton and modal, this top is as comfy as a t-shirt but still so elegant. With balloon sleeves and the tie detail at the back, this top is an adorable party piece. It can be paired with anything but we especially love it with our floral Benslily skirt. Like the Magritte top, the Benslily skirt is a timeless and elegant piece. Both are understated but still so pretty. Last but not least is our stunning Mellow tutu skirt. The longer length and the dusky pink colour really give this skirt the wow factor. Anya has one and the compliments she receives when she wears it are endless!

Those are my top picks for girls clothing gifts this festive season. All the clothes are stylish but have been designed with kids in mind so there is no compromise on comfort. The chain legging

Leggings are probably one of the comfiest pieces of clothing especially for kids. One of my favourite new arrivals in my shop are these black and white chain leggings. They are so bold and the best part is they go with practically any colour or any print. Here I’ve paired them with the green feather tunic which is my favourite look but I also love them with the red tunic and the lovely deep sky blue merry blouse. What’s your favourite look?

Something fishy!

A quick shop update today as there some adorable new pieces that have landed on my doorstep. First up is this fish sweatshirt. In a dark navy with a mustard fish printed on the front, this sweatshirt is such a cute piece for either boy or girl. It’s versatile enough to wear with jeans, skirts or even with our very own blue bloomer shorts.

These leggings have got to be the cutest I’ve seen with those three little ants crawling over them! In a dark beige, these ant leggings will go with anything. Visit the shop for a more detailed view and to see the little ants up close.

Last but not least are these bold graphic chain printed leggings. On a white background, the black print really stands out and is so eye-catching. If you’re in to mixing patterns like me, wear a bold printed top with these. I love these with our feather print tunics.

These pieces, like many of the pieces in our shop are ideal for mixing and matching probably with what you already have in your wardrobe. I love kids wearing clashing colours, mixed patterns, bold prints and generally breaking all the rules. Because that’s when fashion gets fun!

Focus on feathers!

Skirts are one of my favourite pieces of clothing for little girls, especially in Winter. I love how you can create so many different looks with one simple skirt by mixing and matching with different tights, leggings and tops. Add a pair of boots or a pair of Mary Janes to change the look yet again. One of my favourite skirts in my new shop is this feather print skirt. From the deep rusty red colour to the bold black feathers and the flared style, I think this skirt is such a great piece that can be worn in so many ways through the Winter. So here are a few ways I would mix and match with different tops and tights or socks:

I love a bit of mixing patterns and prints so I’ve gone for some of those looks. I also love wearing unexpected colours together – like the rusty red tights with the purple boots. My favourite look is probably the first one with the animal sweatshirt. What’s your favourite look?
