"Italian cashmere clothes for baby and kids"

There is something so special about cashmere.  I don’t know if it’s the softness or the feel against your skin, but it is truly gorgeous stuff.  Recently I discovered Italian Cashmirino who create beautiful cashmere classics for babies and kids.  Anya and I visited their flagship store at the stunning Burlington Arcade in London and the clothes were really quite special.

Maria, who is the owner and designer has a very distinct and classic style.  All the clothes are timeless which makes them perfect to hand down from one sibling to another and even one generation to the next.  And for a change, there is loads for the boys too – maybe even more for boys than girls.  What I especially loved though was the baby collection.  Soft doesn’t even begin to describe it.  And the styles and colours seriously made me broody!  If you want to indulge in a bit of cashmere for your baby or kids, Cashmirino is the place to check out.

During our visit, while I browsed the clothes, Anya was given something a lot more fun to do.  She was offered the chance to design her very own cashmere jumper which she jumped at!  Cashmirino are running a fun competition where your kids can design a jumper and the winning design will be made in to a real Cashmirino jumper as part of their next Winter collection.  Anya was the first child to take part and she had great fun creating a design which you can see in the picture above (apologies for the quality of the pics – all iphone pics) . And as a thank you for taking part, the lovely designer Maria gifted her with a pair of the softest striped gloves – lucky Anya!  All kids are welcome to take part so if you’d like to join in just visit the Burlington Arcade, London store where your kids will be given a jumper template and coloured pens to get busy with while you can have a browse.  Maria will personally choose a winner and if you win, your jumper will be made for real.  How great will that be?  There’s also a little treat for each child that takes part.

"italian kids fashion"‘Chic for kids’ is how this Italian brand describe themselves and boy is it true!  Simple linen clothes and accessories embellished with adorable little details is what you’ll find at Minimu.  That fish bib and those dusty pink bloomers – how incredibly sweet are they?  I only wish I had a little baby to put them on…

"chic italian style for kids"While the Minimu Spring Summer 2013 baby range is to die for, the girls range is no less impressive.  The dresses and tops on offer are so pretty and so stylish without being fussy or cutesy.  They have just the right amount of subtle detail to make them stand out from the crowd.  I’ve got my eye on that yellow polka dot dress which just shouts summer to me.  Minimu is very much becoming a firm favourite here… how can anybody resist such sweet chic-ness (is that even a word?!).

Lovely lilac things…

"lilac dress for girls"

A short while ago I wrote about some pretty pink things as my daughter is obsessed with the colour pink.  Many of you really enjoyed the post (thanks for letting me know) so I went to my daughter to inquire about her second favourite colour.  According to her the second best colour in the whole wide world is purple or lilac as I prefer to call it.  So here are some lilac goodies for you:

1.  Love this chic Italian polka dotted dress with the stylish tie detail.

2.  A cute and hug-able star shaped cushion to decorate a baby’s cot or a kid’s bed.

3.  A cool feather headband for dress up play or to add a bit of drama to any outfit.

4.  Delicious looking lollipops with violets and pansies… how pretty are these?!

"italian clothes babies"

A few weeks ago I shared the brand new Tree House collection for babies by Anja Schwerbrock and what a collection it was… minimal, European style at it’s absolute best.  Today I have another amazing baby and kids collection to share.  It’s European, it’s minimal and ever so chic.  From Italy, Minimu had me swooning from the second I laid eyes on their offerings which include beautiful dresses, tops, trousers, baby rompers and more.

The styles are simple often embellished with a subtle ruffle or a contrasting tie detail or even a sweet bow.  Then there are the adorable polka dot prints in deep maroon, soft lilac and pale grey.  The clothes look comfortable and easy to wear yet really pack a style punch.  That’s exactly what kids clothes should be about.  There’s no fuss here, just exquisite style that’s clean and effortless and very pleasing to the eye.  Minimu don’t sell online but I’m sure you can contact them for stockists.
