organic cotton dresses girls

Do you know Livly? Livly is a cool Swedish brand of organic cotton clothing for children and babies. What’s really great about them is that they make clothes like Anya is wearing which are comfy, soft and easy to wear, yet they are cool and stylish.  As soon as Livly sent us these clothes, Anya put them on and she didn’t want to take them off.  Since she’s had them, she reaches for either the leggings and tee or the dress every time they’re washed.  So it’s a good thing that these Livly clothes are designed to be washed and worn several times and they still look as good as new.

Stunning simplicity

"beautiful Scandinavian dresses for girls"

Everywhere you turn, it’s all about Christmas.  So today I wanted to take a break from all the festive chatter and share these gorgeous dresses for girls.  Clean, understated pieces that can be worn for any occasion.  From one of my favourite high street stores, these dresses could not be simpler or more stunning.  Anya has last years version of the orange and pink block dress (the skirt part was black last year) and whenever she wears it the compliments don’t stop coming.  This year I’ve got my eye on the bright blue bubble dress although the black dress with the pink collar is so striking in it’s simplicity.  Styles like this really speak to me because I’m not a fan of too much fuss and embellishment but more importantly I think dresses like this really allow the child wearing them to shine rather than detracting from the child.  What do you think?  Too simple or simply stunning?

Called ‘Nostalgia’ , this new Spring Summer 2014 collection by Soft Gallery is cool and unique.  I see a lot of kids clothing lines and after a while many of them start to look a bit samey.  But Soft Gallery is different and stands out from the crowd. Their illustrations are created by artists especially for their clothes and their styles are comfy and cool.  In addition to the illustrations, there are some striking prints in the collection too.  I’m loving that relaxed ice-cream dress as well as that quirky roller skating bear body.

"soft gallery spring summer 2013"I don’t know about you but I am beyond ready for Spring.  So far I haven’t bought anything for this elusive season but yesterday I saw a gorgeous coral top in a sheer fabric and I couldn’t resist.  I convinced myself that if I bought it, Spring would come sooner.  I know I’m getting desperate and even more so when I see all the wonderful colours, fabrics and prints on offer at the moment.  One collection that’s really caught my eye is Soft Gallery’s new Spring/Summer 2013 line for kids.  This isn’t the first time I’ve fallen for Soft Gallery and I suspect it won’t be the last.

"bunny dress for girls""girls cotton all in one"Soft Gallery’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection called ‘PURE’ is dreamy and playful.  Some of the clothes are in pale solid colours while others are embellished with butterflies, rabbits and other animals illustrated by artists from around the world.  The colors are soft, the drawings are bold and the overall feeling is one of a playful adventure.  I love the Audrey Hare dress which has a bubble like shape and a beautiful peachy-pink illustration of a rabbit.  I also love the tennis playing, wolf like creature on the grey tee for a boy.  Now, if only Spring would show it’s face we could all indulge in some delightful Spring fashion like this.

It’s that exciting time of year when all the new Autumn Winter collections are arriving and the one that has seriously caught my eye is Soft Gallery’s new collection.  I’m loving the dusty pinks and aubergines complemented with charcoal grey and hints of mustard yellow.  But it’s not just the bold autumnal colours that have me salivating, it’s the infinitely wearable yet stylish clothes coupled with the eye-catching art.  I’m a big fan of kids clothes that that have the right mix of cute, quirky and style and this collection has it in abundance… don’t you think?

All the artworks you see on the clothes are created by a variety of International artists commissioned by Soft Gallery.  Each season, new artists are commissioned and their work is incorporated in to the clothing designs.  A very unusual way to create fashion and the result is something quite unique.  There’s not a piece here that I don’t like; everything is rather stunning and I want it all.  There are also some very cool outfits for the boys but I just couldn’t take my eyes off the girls collection.  From Denmark, Soft Gallery is yet another example of exquisite Scandinavian fashion for kids.

If you drop by often, you’ll know I have a huge amount of love in my heart for Scandinavian kids fashion.  Sometimes it’s understated,  sometimes a bit edgy or quirky but always seriously stylish.  My sponsor Scandinavian Minimall has the best of bunch at her online boutique where she brings us hugely covetable brands like Pale Cloud, Livly, Monamici, Norlie, Shirin Kids and so much more.  The thinking behind Scandinavian Minimall is to bring us the best of Scandinavian style but that doesn’t mean just Scandi brands… it’s any brand that represents the whole Scandi style ethos.

Gabrielle, the mama behind the boutique has recently introduced a small toys and decor collection which includes Lucky Boy Sunday and Blafre, two brands that I adore.  But this boutique is mostly about the delicious clothes it offers and their latest Spring Summer 2012 collection lives up to the high standards I’ve come to expect.  I’ve visited a pop-up sale that Scandinavian Minimall had in London and I felt like a kid in a candy store.  The clothes were just stunning and I couldn’t resist indulging!  To check out the entire collection visit Scandinavian Minimall.

Last year Pale Cloud launched their first ever collection and what a collection it was.  I’ve been eagerly awaiting their Spring/Summer 2012 collection which is here and it easily surpasses my high expectations.  Pale Cloud is the creation of a Norwegian mama called Marion who’s had a penchant for fashion from a very young age.  I love her little story where she explains that as a small girl she figured out if she got up early enough she could pick her own clothes before the adults could pick them for her.  How sweet is that!

With the new collection, Marion has maintained the soft femininity that underlined the previous collection.  What I love about her style is that it’s girly and feminine without any fuss.  There are dresses, tops, shorts and jackets, mostly in soft, pale colours that I think any little girl would look super chic in.  From my own experience, I bought my 3 year old a dress from the Autumn/Winter 2011 range and she never wants to take it off.  If I let her, she would wear it every single day and I can’t really blame her because the compliments do keep flowing.  Pale Cloud is a brand not to be missed so check out their collection and don’t be surprised if you want everything.  You can also visit Scandinavian Minimall who have a selection and even have a few sale pieces from the previous collection.

Yesterday I went to a Scandinavian kids clothes shopping event hosted by Scandinavian Minimall.  What can I say except ooh la, la!  The threads on offer were just delectable and needless to say I got a bit carried away with the shopping.  One of the brands that really stood out for me was Pale Cloud.  I’d heard of them but hadn’t touched, seen, felt their clothes and when I did it was instant love.  The fabrics are so soft, so lovely, the styles simple and elegant.  There’s lots of gorgeous cashmere, some scrumptious silk and cottons on offer for babies and girls.  Pale cloud was started by a Norwegian mama called Marion and this Autumn/Winter 2011 collection is her first and what a collection it is.   To be honest, the pictures don’t do it the justice it deserves… you really need to see the pieces to fully appreciate their beauty.  And in even better news, Scandinavian Minimall is having a fantastic sale so you can pick up these pieces at massive discounts… but there’s not much left so you’ve got to be quick.

I’m so excited to introduce Scandinavian Minimall as my newest sponsor.  And in even more exciting news, Scandinavian Minimall have generously offered an amazing giveaway.  And I do mean amazing!  Read on for all the details.

Scandinavian Minimall is a new(ish) kids boutique, still in it’s first year.  Started by talented mama Gabrielle Sprang from Sweden who now lives in the UK, Gabrielle was keen to bring cutting edge Scandi kids style to the UK.  She has achieved just that by offering brands like Mini Rodini, Norlie, Swedish Hasbeens and Petite by Sophie Schnoor which represent the best of Scandi kids fashion.  But Gabrielle doesn’t stop there.  She also brings us brands that represent the whole Scandi style ethos even if they’re not from Scandinavia.  In short, Scandinavian Minimall is a hot spot for mini fashion.  It’s no secret that I’m a massive fan of Scandi style… they just seem to get it.  The result is often effortless style that is simple yet stunning, very much like the dress we’re giving you a chance to win.  You can visit Scandinavian Minimall to check out the rest of their beautiful collection.
