A few years ago I bought a beautiful dull gold top. From the minute I first wore it, Anya insisted she had to have the same. She was only 3 years old. Since then, she has often wanted us to wear matching clothes when we go out together. Her sweet, sweet sentiment of wanting to be like her mama gives me a warm and happy feeling all over. While I adore this sentiment, I can’t do full on matching mama and daughter style. Can you? I can do complementary style yes, but matching head to toe, no. So recently, when Pisamonas offered to send us both a pair of shoes, I thought this was the perfect opportunity for some similar mama and daughter style. Both Anya and I opted for ballet pumps – she chose the sparkly pink ones while I opted for the black leather ballet pumps.
Did you know that 1+1 = 3? OK, even my maths isn’t that bad but wouldn’t it be great if every time we went shopping and bought two things, we got the third free? A delicious idea but sadly it just doesn’t happen much. That is, until now. My go to kids shoe shop Pisamonas is offering just this. Buy any 2 pairs of shoes and get the 3rd one free. Yes, free! Pisamonas already offer incredible value for money with beautiful, quality kids shoes priced mostly in the £15-£30 range and all the kids shoes come with free shipping and returns. But now they’ve gone a step further with this very special offer available from 18th Feb to 29th Feb.
When it comes to kids shoes, I have a simple rule – no more than one type of shoe per season. Kids feet grow so quickly, there seems little point in splurging out on too many shoes. So in summer it’s a pair of sandals, a pair of closed shoes and that’s usually it. In winter it’s a pair of boots that will go with everything and a pair of converse trainers (love them!). But come the Christmas season we do like to add one little extra indulgence – a pair of sparkly festive shoes.
This year Pisamonas kindly sent Anya a pair of these sparkly mary janes and she is delighted. Ever since I discovered Pisamonas – an online children’s shoe shop – they have become my go to place for Anya’s shoes. Once you check it out you’ll know why – great styles and quality for incredible prices and free delivery and returns on every order. And not just for girls – they have some great boys shoes including stunning boots and much more for boys all at incredible prices. Some stylish occasion wear for now but also a great selection of everyday wear. So why spend more than you need to especially on kids shoes?
These beautiful sparkly mary janes are unbelievably under £20 with free delivery. I love the chic and subtle glitter paired with the bow – so pretty. They come in a few different colours including a gorgeous burgundy but Anya chose the black (she is my daughter after all!). Even Richard (who doesn’t ever pay attention to Anya’s shoes) commented when we opened these saying ‘wow, they’re nice.’
At the prices that Pisamonas offer, I’m thinking of buying at least one more pair for Anya for all the upcoming parties and outings. I’m really loving the soft pink croc print bluchers – so cool! If you toofollow a similar shoe rule to me, you will probably break it once you get to know Pisamonas. It’s hard not to!
Is it already back to school time? I can’t believe how quickly this Summer has whizzed by. It’s time to think school uniforms, school shoes, labeling stuff and all the rest that a new school year brings with it. I wish I could claim to be one of those super organized mums who have all this stuff sorted well in time, but no. I dread it all so I keep putting it off! My biggest dread of all though is those never ending queues to buy school shoes. Oh, the nightmares we’ve had in the past dragging ourselves from shop to shop, waiting to be served for ages only to find that they don’t even have our size. On to the next shop to do the same all over again. Not fun, especially with an impatient, hungry and whining child in tow.
Because everybody sensibly buys their school shoes at the end of the Summer, it’s always meant enduring those soul destroying shopping crowds. But not anymore. I have now started to buy school shoes online and what a huge relief that has become. I feel like I’ve stumbled upon a secret that no knowing parent ever tells you. Initially I was hesitant about buying online because what if the shoe doesn’t fit. But when I learned about Pisamonas who have a free delivery, exchange and return policy it felt like there was no reason not to. Pisamonas also have a really handy size guide to help you in case you’re unsure. If you’ve tried their shoes you’ll know that they offer fantastic value for money and they fit really well. They have a selection of more formal black school shoes but also many other styles that can work as school shoes – just depends on how strict or not your school is.
Anya wears the more formal Mary Jane school shoes in black and the fit has been perfect even though Anya has narrow feet. She also wears the matching grey knee high school socks which come in a range of school uniform colours and the socks actually stay up (yay!). Pisamonas have an offer where you automatically get 10% off any accessories when bought with a pair of shoes. So not only have we got great fitting shoes and socks but we’ve avoided the dreaded crowds by shopping from the comfort of our sofa.
Are you a bag lady or a shoe lady? Bags or shoes, shoes or bags? I’m very much a shoe lady as my ever growing shoe collection will reveal. And since I’ve been blessed with a little girl, well my shoe obsession has trickled down to mini shoes too. But with mini shoes I usually have to hold back because kids feet grow so quickly; that is until I discovered Pisamonas who make the cutest and most affordable shoes for kids.
If you’ve been following my blog you’ll know that I’m a fan of Pisamonas shoes so much so that I’m proud to say I often work with them too. Pisamonas are all about Spanish made shoes for boys and girls at incredible prices which means you can indulge in a few pairs for the kids every season and not have to restrict yourself to just one or two pairs like I used to. Now Pisamonas are offering even better value with a sale. Their already unbeatable prices are reduced further but just for a few days. Because their prices are normally so low, their sales don’t last long – usually no more than a week or 10 days at most. Here are a few of my favourites from the sale – all for under £20 (yes, under £20!). Aren’t they pretty? I’m loving the softer colours for Summer so that’s what I’ve picked but there are loads more styles so do check out their sale before it’s over.
I’ve been waiting patiently for the British Summer to arrive (ok not so patiently) but it seems to be coming finally! And someone has been tormenting me for a pair of sandals. I thought this kind of torment only started when they were 16, not six! But I’d much rather Anya ask me for something like sandals that she really wants and will use rather than for something she wants simply because her friends have it. I’ve had my eye on a pair that I spotted months ago but have been waiting for the right weather. Now that it’s here I’m ordering!
The sandals I’ve been coveting are the Spanish Avarcas by Pisamonas – they are so gorgeous! Anya has already had a pair of Pisamonas shoes before and they have been worn a fair amount and still look great. So I know the sandals will be just as good and they are so reasonably priced that I can even splurge on two pairs – once you see the colours you’ll know why it’s hard to choose just one. Besides those sandals they have loads more styles and another that caught my eye is a very pretty pair of flip-flop style sandals in similar colours as the Avarcas but with a bit of gold trim. Perfect for a Summer party!
I tend to favour European shoes for Anya because I find that they fit her narrow feet better and they offer such fun styles too. I’m so glad to have discovered Pisamonas who’s shoes are all made in Spain and they are some of the most reasonably priced kids shoes I have ever come across and the prices even include free delivery. There is lots of fun stuff for boys too including the Avarcas sandals which are regularly worn by little boys in Spain and I think they look so cool. For the boys I also love the canvas plimsolls which come is some fresh colours for Summer and those soft suede loafers are so fun too. So if you want some stylish European shoes for your kids this Summer then check out Pisamonas and you won’t be disappointed with the range, the colours and the incredible prices.
Here’s a short video to give you a better flavour for the shoes:
This post is brought to you in partnership with Pisamonas. All ideas, content and words are my own. Thank you for supporting my work with carefully selected partners that support this blog.
Ever since Anya started walking, we’ve had trouble buying shoes. Her feet are very narrow which has meant regular high-street shoes have never worked for her. Instead I have had to seek out European shoes which for some reason are narrower than British shoes (I wonder why). We all know that getting a good fit with shoes is so important especially for growing feet; I’ve even been told that getting well fitted shoes for a child is as important as looking after their teeth. Because of this I never compromised on what I bought her even though it often meant spending more than I wanted to.
Recently I discovered Pisamonas shoes from Spain and I was keen to try them out as they are European shoes that are very affordable too. They generously sent me this cute pair of brogues that I love not only because you can wear them with anything – skirts, jeans, dresses – but also because they fit really well. These shoes come in a range of colours but I really like the neutral tones that can be paired with fun socks like these polka dotted ones. Anya’s also worn these shoes with the brightest pink socks and they look really cool. I’ve been putting off teaching her to tie her laces which I knew I needed to do sooner rather than later so these shoes have come in really hand for that too! She is quite happy to practice away on them.
Pisamonas have a big range of affordable kids shoes in lots of styles and colours for babies, boys and girls and have just recently launched in the UK. As part of their launch, they are offering £10 off your first purchase (of £40 or more) till 28th February 2015 and they ship worldwide. Apart from the brogues that I chose for Anya, I really like the Avarca Menorcan sandals especially in the palest pink. Those are definitely on my wish list for the Summer. You can visit Pisamonas to see more or else check out this cute video which shows a range of their shoes.
P.S. Anya insisted on jumping in a big puddle right before we took photos that is why the tips of her shoes are wet!
Yes, please to these baby and toddler oxford shoes! How delicious are they? Popping with colour, these soft suede shoes are all lovingly handmade and are a special Summer edition so they won’t be around forever. I only wish they came in bigger sizes too.
The word ‘blush’ is such a pretty way to describe this beautiful pale peachy-pink colour which I’m loving for Spring. So soft and feminine, this is a colour I want to see more of in my home and wardrobe. So I went looking for blush things for mamas and kids and here are my favourtie finds:
Are you a bag lady or a shoe lady? I’m firmly in the shoe camp, maybe even a little bit obsessed with shoes. And now having a child, this obsession is trickling in to kids shoes too. Not good. But then it’s hard to resist when I find shoes like these Zuzii ones. Their baby shoes are the cutest and their sandals are so beautiful, I wish they made adult sizes too. I love the simplicity of the sandals with their natural leather and unfussy looks. And of all the soft suede baby shoes, I think the pink polka dotted ones are just adorable. They also make cool oxfords for boys, some in plain colours while others have stripes or polka dots. Discovering kids shoes like these ones by Zuzii does nothing but make me want to buy even more shoes!
Have a lovely weekend!
