"stella cove girls swimwear"Summer’s coming (we hope) which means bikinis, swimsuits and beachwear.  A nightmare for some of us mama’s but luckily we’re talking kidlets here (phew!).  And have I got a treat for the smalls in our lives.  I speak of the lovely Stella Cove… uber elegant beach style is what’s on offer here.  Swimsuits, bikinis and flowy cover ups for the girls and swim shorts for the boys.  Stella Cove’s swimwear is fresh and beautiful with oodles of understated style.  There are bolds and brights to be had such as the ‘Rio’ bikini or for something subtler you’ve got the oh so pretty ‘Starlight’ and ‘Snow’ ranges.  There’s lots of elegant choice for anyone who fancies a bit of beach style for their kiddies.  Stella Cove prices range from around $45 to $70 and shipping to the UK costs $15.  For a UK based stockist try Childrens Salon who have a pretty good range.

P.S. There are some lovelies on offer for mama’s too… anyone for matching mama and baby bikini? Go on…

"Good little wolf"

My most recent book purchase for ebabee no.1 was ‘Good Little Wolf’ by Nadia Shireen.  It turned out to be such a fabby little book, I had to share.  The illustrations are just delightful and the story is such a winner.  The story goes:

“Once upon a time there was a wolf called Rolf – a good little wolf who liked baking cakes and was always kind to his friends.  But real wolves aren’t supposed to be good – they’re supposed to be BIG and BAD. Can a good little wolf still be a real wolf?”

Funny, hugely entertaining and even a twist in the tale… what more could anyone want?  This is Nadia Shireens first book for children, and what a book. I’m so hoping (praying even) that there’s more to come and very soon.  To get Good Little Wolf head to Amazon where it costs £3.75 with free delivery.

"crochet fish toy"

Oh my god… how sweet are these crochet fish or fish bones, should I say?  I’m pretty darn partial to crochet goodies anyway but it’s been a while since I’ve seen something so super-duper cute!  And never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I’d be lusting after fish bones.  I’m loving the endless nursery decoration possibilities they offer.  Think hanging decor, think framing in to wall art, think sewing on to a plain cot bumper, embellishing toy storage boxes, make your own baby mobile… I really could go on forever.  Apart from the fish, there’s also a little brown crochet owl on offer which too is super cute.  All these sweeties are made by a lady called Emel from Turkey and are available from her etsy shop called Hayalce.  The small fish bones cost $16 while the large cost $22 plus $5 for shipping. Go, get yourself some fish!

"newborn baby book"

"piqpoq baby newborn book"

"piq poq contemporary baby book"

Ooh… finally, a baby book without a hint of cutesy-ness in sight.  If you’re a regular, you’ll know that cutesy and me just don’t mix.  So, when I spotted this baby book by Piqpoq I loved it.  Its uber modern, uber cool and very contemporary looks are just the ticket.  I’m loving the bright and simple graphics, the design and pretty much everything about this book.  It’s hard bound and comes in it’s own cardboard case so all the better to preserve it for years and years.  This modern baby book is by the fabby Frenchies and you can find it at a store called Present & Correct for £16.50 plus £2.75 shipping.

"3 sprouts storage bins"3 Sprouts toy storage bins are what I’m feeling the love for today.  Truth be told, I’ve lusted after these toy storage baskets for eons but only recently discovered that you can get them here… hallelujah!  These super sweet storage baskets come with a range of animal faces in the most joyful of colours.  All the animals have the giant-est of eyes making them deliciously cute and happy looking.  The baskets are big and strong and bold and can hold a lot of junk toys… I should know as I’ve indulged in one for ebabee no.1.  And now they’ve gone and added toy storage caddies to their collection; more temptation especially the little mouse one.

To get one of these, get down to Huggle, a fab kiddy store in Swiss Cottage in London.  I have family in that part of town whom I suddenly seem to want to visit every week!  In case you can’t get down there, just hold your horses… they’re gonna be selling online in the very, very near future.  These 3 Sprouts toy storage baskets cost around £30 each.

"kristiana parn art"

I chanced upon Kristiana Parn’s art on Etsy and I was smitten.  I don’t think it’s difficult to see why.  Charming and fanciful, her work is very unique.  Born and raised in Estonia, Kristiana now creates from her studio in Brooklyn, New York.  She says she’s experimented with different techniques to create an impression of light and air in her art which is beautifully evident.  The colours are bold yet soft with lots of rusts and aqua blue tones dominating.  This coupled with the almost gentleness of the animals depicted makes for art so, so charming and so beautiful.  These would make a truly lovely addition to any nursery wall or play space.  You can buy Kristiana Parn prints on her Etsy store Krisblues for $20 each plus $5 shipping to the UK.   But if you’re after an original, head to Kristiana Parn’s own site where you can find out more.
