"mimi lou bord school bag"

Elephants have long been a hot favourite around here.  They just work so well on kiddy stuff.  But recently I’ve been feeling the love for birdies too.  I’ve been finding some super lovely stuff embellished with birds and this school bag is no exception.  It’s so sweet!  The teeny tiny polka dots, the little delicate bird and the bold orange straps make for a bag so wantable.  Which little girl isn’t gonna want this?  Or for that matter, which big girl too.  This sweet bag is by the French Mimi’Lou who create some delicate looking delectables from wall stickers to stationary and more.  This bird school bag by Mimi’lou costs €45 and they deliver to most of Europe.

P.S. While it’s the bird that I’ve featured here, there’s also an equally delectable rabbit one for the boys.

"Wall sticker for kids"

Potato queen.  There’s a term I never thought I would come across.  But I have, in the form of these quirky wall stickers by the French Genvieve Gauckler.  I’m already a huge fan of wall stickers for kiddy spaces and these are up there with the most fun of the lot.  ‘Funny, cheerful, surprising and full of joy’ is how Genvieve describes her world and these stickers are exactly that.  The minute I spotted them, I smiled from ear to ear.  The simple black silhouettes in the shape of the wierdest characters is immediately playful and perfect for a kiddy space.  And the Potato Queen herself, well I love her trainers and tiara combo!  The set of stickers measures 160 x 150 cms and you can get it over at Domestic where they cost 33 Euros.

P.S. Don’t forget to take a look at ebabee, our baby auction site.

"bobo choses toy storage basket"

I’m a huge fan of the cool Spanish label, Bobo Choses.  And just like everything they touch, this toy storage basket is up there in the style stakes.  The bold red, blue and yellow embroidery against the straw would add a splash of cool to any nursery or play space.  Heck, it’s so fab, I would even allow it in to an adult space!  If you’re looking for toy storage with a difference then this basket has to be it.  You could even hang it to liven up your nursery walls.  To get this oh so covetable toy storage basket, head to Coverture and the Garbstore where it costs £49 plus £5.50 delivery.

"Donna Wilson soft toys"

I have long been a fan of Donna Wilson.  Her sense of design peppered with a dash of eclectic, results in creations so quirky and cool.  And of all her unique creations, I’ve always been particularly fascinated by her creatures or soft toys.  What characters they are, each wonderfully weird with their unusual shapes and exaggerated features.  Today I’m lusting after the birdies, Rosie and Berty to be specific.  They’re large, measuring 60cms not including their long, dangly legs.  I’m loving the idea of placing one of these in a nursery space to add some unexpected quirky style.  Head on over to Donna Wilson’s web space where you’ll find these birdies for £40.50 a piece with delivery at £4.  While you’re there, don’t miss Peeping Tom and Edd Red Head.  They definitely won’t disappoint!

"vilac tea party set"I’ve been on a mission to find a tea set for ebabee no.1.  She seems to have developed a penchant for pouring tea and sipping it in her little pretend world.  So, I began the search and soon hit the (tea set) jackpot when i found this stunner by Vilac.  This Nathalie Tea party set has got bags of charm and is just so pretty in a kitschy-cool way.  I’m loving the colours, the flowers, the retro vibe and even the little carry case it comes in.  So girly, so sweet.  Made of metal, it reminds me of the way toys used to be…  no plastic in sight, just the way I like it.  The Vilac Nathalie Tea Party Set costs £25.43 from Amazon and delivery’s free. I’m off to order mine and am pleased as punch to say tea set mission: accomplished!

"yellow infant play mat"

The glorious sunshine yellow with the simple wooden arches and colourful hanging toys, make for a baby play mat so stylish, it hurts!  If only I’d known about this when I was in the play mat market (boo hoo).  Made by an Italian toy company called Il Leccio, this baby play mat is super sleek but has everything a bambino would need to keep themselves entertained.  And they say it can be put together and taken apart in a few minutes.  But then again, this is one I would happily leave in full view… I’m thinking it’ll attract an admiring (even envious) glance or two!  You can get your hands on this play mat form Il Leccio where it costs €50.90 plus €16 shipping to the UK.

"teresa green bird place mats"

Teresa Green is a name I came across today.  I quickly ditched the post I had planned in favour of these lovelies.  And lordy, these place mats by Teresa Green are truly lovely.  They’re not just for kids though, I can see them quite at home in the most stylish of homes, especially if your style is of the understated kind.  The stick like drawings of the long legged birdies are sweet enough to appeal to childish tastes, yet stylish enough to grace an adult dinner table.  Made of 100% linen, these place mats are washable so spill away.  Place mats they are but I’m actually fancying them as wall art.  They’re quite large measuring 63 x 38cms, so I’d be tempted to stick them in a frame and use them as rather unusual nursery wall art.  And when you fancy a change, use them as place mats again.  These Teresa Green Leggy Birds place mats cost £33 for a pair from Little Fashion Gallery.  Delivery is normally €9 but if you ‘like’ Little Fashion Gallery’s facebook page, you can get free delivery in Europe.

P.S. Check out our baby auction site where you’ll find bargains a plenty!
