Such a beautiful collection of baby alpaca wool knits by Ingugu.  All made by hand in soft, natural colours and simple styles.  Clothes that give snuggly warmth, softness, comfort and style always get my vote.  And right now Ingugu is having a sale with 30% off everything.

Wonderful winter woolies…

"alpaca wool kids clothes"

There’s definitely a nip in the air which means it’s time to start getting your winter woolies out and maybe even buying a few more.  While summer is my favourite season, I do look forward to winter fashions the most, not just for me but for the little one too.  There’s one British brand that I’ve wanted to share with you for a long while and with the weather turning, I couldn’t wait any longer.  They’re called Waddler and they create wonderful woolies for babies and kids with a keen eye on design and lots of playful touches that make the clothes immensely wearable and immensely cute.

"baby alpaca wool clothes for babies"

All made of 100% baby alpaca wool in Bolivia,  Waddler’s creations are quirky, playful and stylish without any of the over-cuteness that you can find in baby clothes.  There isn’t a piece in the collection that I don’t like.  Their colours too are lovely with lots of soft grey’s, sandy browns and off-white’s complimented by bolder colours like teal and bright red.  Most of their clothes are unisex making them great for passing on from one sibling to another.  I could go on and on about wonderful Waddler but I’ll leave you to discover the rest over at their site.

Poetic creations…

You may have seen Lucky Boy Sunday featured here in the past and today I couldn’t resist sharing their latest campaign.  It’s hard to put the charm of Lucky Boy Sunday in to words so I guess I could say that there’s a certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ about their creations.  The goodies are wonderful but so is the way they put together each campaign with an almost magical and poetic quality to it.  The creators say they ‘adore the unsaid’, leaving it up to you dream and imagine what you will…

"dressing up crown"

I have some super exciting news… the lovely folks at Oeuf NYC are giving one lucky reader the chance to win a ‘Wild Things’ crown in the colour of your choice.  You’ll find all the details of how to enter at the bottom of this post.  But first, I’d like to share a preview of Oeuf NYC’s delightful Autumn/Winter 2012 collection.

"knitwear for kids"

When I opened up the Oeuf NYC Fall/Winter 2012 look book my heart skipped a beat.  My eyes feasted on clothes, dressing up goodies and toys that took my breath away.  How can anybody not fall in love with this collection?  The clothes are playful and fun yet infinitely wearable and practical and always complimented by fabulous design. What more could you possibly want from children’s clothes?

 "dressing up clothes kids"

Year after year Oeuf create hugely covetable clothes, toys and nursery furniture and this latest Fall/Winter 2012 collection is no exception.  Their dressing up pieces are also second to none.  Whether your child wants to play wolf or be Santa Claus or even a cat for a day, Oeuf has lots to choose from and all created with bags of style and subtlety yet lots of drama.  I know it’s too early to even mention santa, but I just couldn’t resist picturing the adorable hat and beard combo!

"woollen knits for baby"

All the clothes are made in Bolivia from baby alpaca wool.  Not only is the wool a soft and luxurious natural fibre but by making the clothes in Bolivia, Oeuf supports the local women artisans who earn a fair income and are able to educate their kids.  If you’re a mama with a penchant for style and all things beautiful, then Oeuf is the place to go.  Oeuf NYC certainly has a special place in my heart and I don’t think it’s difficult to see why.

I’m longing for blue skies.  If you live in London or anywhere in England you’ll know what I mean.  If not, you’re probably enjoying blue skies already… lucky you!  While I wait I thought I’d cheer us all up with some wonderful blue goodies:

1.  “La Casita” cloud pillow with raindrop stickers…  2.   Baby alpaca wool clothes for boy or girl…  3.  Stars, stripes and solid indigo blue cushions for a nursery…  4.  Blue snow-capped mountains wallpaper designed and drawn by an 8 year old…  5.  A foxy soft toy* made of re-cycled denim which I discovered while reading Milk Mag…  6.  A happy balloon with a your personal message inside for any occasion.

mama & baby…

"hooded poncho wool bracelets"

Today’s picks for mama & baby… let mama adorn her wrists with one of these unique Peruvian bracelets while baby sports that adorable hooded poncho.

"clown soft toys and pillows"

The circus is in town!  This new collection of joyful circus toys and pillows is the creation of super talented mama, Anabel.  In the collection you’ll find a range of clowns, a circus tent, some circus animals and my favourite, the ringmaster pictured on the left.  All the toys can double up as pillows… I’m thinking super sweet sleeping companions for any little kid.  Made from baby alpaca wool, bamboo and cotton they are hand knitted in Bolivia so not only are the goodies very cute, they’re environmentally friendly too.  Anabel goes a step further by employing women artisans in Bolivia who wouldn’t otherwise have had the chance of earning.  These toys are toys with a conscience, making them even more desirable.  In addition to the new circus collection, Anabel makes lovely baby alpaca wool clothes and the most gorgeous crochet and knit necklaces for little girls.  Visit Fournier to see the entire collection.
