Today I want to introduce you to my newest sponsor Noeuf. Noeuf is a French boutique full of covetable things for babies and kids. There are carefully selected clothes, toys, accessories and more on offer. Whether you’re buying your new baby essentials or looking for a cool gift, you’ll find something at Noeuf. At the moment Noeuf are getting in all their new Autumn/Winter 2013 collections and from the new stuff I’m loving that tree adorned all in one by Bobo Choses. I’m also loving those cute party invitations by Barnabe Aime le Cafe. Noeuf’s selection of goodies is fun and stylish and I’m glad to have them as my newest sponsors.

A {head-turning} nursery collection…
July 9, 2013
Some years ago while holidaying in Marrakesh, I went to a fun restaurant for dinner with my husband. I don’t remember too much about the food or decor as it wasn’t that memorable but I will never forget that woman who walked in. Tall, lean and statuesque with chocolate coloured skin, wearing a very large brimmed hat and a dramatic outfit. There was a moment of silence as all heads turned to look at her. She wasn’t the most beautiful woman I’ve seen, nor the prettiest but she was definitely unique and the entire package from head to toe was jaw droppingly striking so you couldn’t help but stare (think Grace Jones). And that is how I felt when I first saw this new collection of nursery bedding by Anatology on Peggy’s inspiring blog. Bold, graphic and head turning-ly striking, there’s no holding back here and that’s why this collection really stands out like that statuesque stunner!
Anatology is the creation of Delphine Miquel, a French mama and designer who has obviously got a unique aesthetic sense. All her creations are made in France from soft, natural materials that are perfect for a baby’s skin. Of course this collection has bags of style, of course it has loads of visual appeal but what I love most is that there are no half measures here. This collection was designed to make heads turn and it does without apology. This is Delphine’s first collection called ‘Graphic Jungle’ and and I just can’t wait to see what comes next. If this is the benchmark for all her collections then all I can say is wow!
Little decorations for little people…
June 24, 2013
Les Pommettes du Chat (Cheekbones of the cat) is a lovely French boutique that makes the sweetest little decorations for babies and kids. They have adorable things like those soft mini triangle rattles and tiny little clouds for hanging on the wall. They also make some very pretty bed linen and other textiles like bibs, pouches and paper garlands. The fabrics are all so pretty and delicate and the creations feel like they’ve been made with lots of love and a touch of poetry. I love boutiques like Les Pommettes du Chat because their offerings are so unusual and it almost feels like the products have been created especially for you.
Simple French style…
September 11, 2012
In recent years baby and children’s clothing has evolved a lot and it’s so refreshing to see. Gone are the days where everything had to be pink, blue and fussy… thankfully! There are new stylish shops popping up everywhere especially Europe and it’s these little independents that I love discovering. My latest find is mie (ito)… a French store that makes beautifully simple clothes for 0-6 year olds in small quantities.
Often times the simpler the clothes, the better they look. I guess I am a minimalist at heart so this collection really appeals to me and I love the hint of embellishment that some of the pieces have. Also on offer are some accessories like the black and white striped garland and some lovely bibs. From reading their blog I gathered that mie (ito) may start a bedding line soon and I can’t wait to see it.
French Blossom is a beautiful boutique that represents some of the finest French kids designers all under one roof. You’ve got clothes, toys, decor and accessories on offer; all are delightful and very French. I like to think of French Blossom as a divine little French Patisserie… y’know the kind of place you walk in to where you’re suddenly surrounded by the most delectable treats making it impossible to choose just one? Yup, it’s that kind of place!
Started by a husband and wife team who lived in Paris for several years, French Blossom is the first boutique of it’s kind. The couple were hugely inspired by the elegance and creativity seen in French kids fashion and decided to bring it together in one shop. On offer are brands like Mimi’Lou, Lale, Bakker, Eponime and many more. While each brand is unique, they all have bags of style and charm.
Visit French Blossom to browse their complete selection and you may find a cool bargain or two as they’re currently on sale. But if you like something that’s not on sale, don’t despiar… there’s a special 10% discount for all my readers. At checkout just use the code: EBABEES.
A beautiful vintage boutique…
October 28, 2011
Ooh la, la… this shop is French and fabulous! Filled with gorgeous vintage finds but also some very carefully chosen new things to compliment the vintage feel of the store. I love the way the offerings are presented and photographed and I love the offerings themselves. It’s a space that is unique and very, very interesting. At Les Petits Bohemes you’ll find one off vintage furniture for kids including chairs and cots and lots of storage furniture. You’ll also find some unusual and cool vintage toys and vintage nursery decor bits. Then there are the new pieces which include clothes and some wonderful soft toys and hand made dolls.
If you’re putting together a vintage nursery or just looking for some vintage inspiration for a kids room, then Les Petits Bohemes is unmissable. They’re based in France as I’m sure you’ve guessed from the name and they ship worldwide.
Bonton: Summer skirts so flirty
June 24, 2011
Oooh… the colours are so pretty and summery, the skirts so flirty and flowy. By the Frenchies (again!) these little numbers are just the ticket for summer. All you need is a simple vest top or tee, ideally in a contrasting colour and some sandals or flip flops. You’ll end up with picture perfect summer style! These skirts are from Bonton Boutique for 3-4 yr olds and over and are currently on sale for €39.20 reduced from €56. Be warned though, they’re running out fast.
Clemence G: Fun n’ fabulous kiddy goodies
January 20, 2011
Ooh… the Frenchies have done it again. This time in the guise of a shop called Clemence G. Bursting with goodies in colours so bright, you might need to don a pair of sunnys! It’s a space filled with bambino bedding, nursery decor, soft toys, t-shirts, wrapping paper and more. All in hot, bold colours teamed with quirky graphics and funky prints. I’m lovin’ it. And in even hotter news, there’s more than a bit of a sale on with stuff up to 60% off and free delivery on sale stuff even to the UK! So if you’re a colour mad mama, now would be a good time to strike. And while you’re there do check out the chicken carpet… quirkylicious and cool at it’s best! The site’s in French but very easy to navigate around (despite my non-existent knowledge of French) or else just click the translate button on google and job done (google’s quite clever like that). Check out Clemence G… it’s seriously funky! (So much that I’ve just ordered a tee).
