Wear your veggies!

Things do not get much cuter than these new veggie inspired hand knitted clothes from Oeuf. While your fussy eaters may not eat their veggies, you’ll have no trouble convincing your kids to wear them! All knitted in 100% baby alpaca wool, this adorable clothing collection couldn’t be more delicious! There are also some gorgeous matching veggie pillows in case you can’t get enough of your greens. But if it’s the proteins you’re missing, the fried egg hat is the one for you! Just too cute – I mean look at that aubergine baby – so cute it hurts!

A golden tooth + a giveaway

A couple of weeks ago Anya lost her first tooth. I cried. I’m not normally emotional and have always enjoyed watching her grow up. When the baby years passed and she turned in to a toddler, I felt nothing but joy and delight in seeing her grow and develop. But this milestone was different. This milestone felt like my baby was no longer a baby and was really growing up (sob). Where have these five years gone?

I was soon distracted by Anya’s huge excitement right from the moment she realised she had a wobbly tooth. The tooth fairy is something she has desperately been waiting for and wishing everyday that she would lose a tooth for over a year. More than Santa, the tooth fairy has totally captured her imagination. So that night, along with the tooth fairy pillow loaded with cash and tucked under her pillow, I sprinkled some glitter around her bed. That moment of waking up and discovering the tooth had gone from the pillow and finding some money there instead was priceless – the look on her face was pure delight and amazement. She was jumping up and down and shouting ‘the tooth fairy came, the tooth fairy really came’. And the bonus was finding this adorable golden tooth pillow which she loves. Anya may be growing up but she’s still a child full of wonder and imagination and that is something I hope will stay with her for a long time no matter how old she is.

A cool new toddler bed

I’m loving this new toddler bed by Oeuf NYC. Simple, minimal, and effortlessly stylish, this toddler bed is also available in a dark chocolate colour but the natural wood is my favourite. Moving a child from a cot to a ‘big kid bed’ is one of the many milestones of going from babyhood to toddlerhood and I can’t think of a cooler bed to do it in!

Oeuf’s Perch toddler bed comes with a removable safety rail so once your child outgrows the bed, it can be used as a mini sofa. Design that grows with your child is always a winner for me.

Hats & hoodies…

I have yet to meet a kid who is crazy about wearing a hat but these new ones by Oeuf NYC may be just the ticket. Part of their Autumn Winter 2013 collection, these hats and hoddies are so fun. Many are animal inspired but there are also other quirky ones like the yoda hat which is definitely a favourite of mine. All the hats and hoodies are great for adding a little bit of joy to everyday winter wear and I’m sure any kid will agree. Oeuf NYC have a knack for creating playful yet wearable pieces that have just the right amount of cuteness. There’s lots to love about Oeuf’s new Autumn Winter 2013 collection but for me, it’s the hats and hoodies that steal the show this season.

An elephant in the room…

I love grey. As I’m getting older I think I’m loving it more and more not only as a colour to wear but also as a colour to decorate with. I’m especially loving it for a nursery because I find the colour quite calming. And besides you can add hints of practically any other colour and it will work with grey. So when I saw this delightful new Elephant crib by Oeuf NYC I thought it would be fun to put together a few things to go with it. The Elephant crib is Oeuf’s latest offering and it really does resemble an elephant, don’t you think? I love the playful design as well as the rounded edges and the whole modern vibe. Oeuf NYC is a firm favourite on this blog and I’ve been meaning to share their latest cot offering – The Rhea Crib. I loved it when I saw it especially in the darker walnut colour. It’s modern style, clean lines and dark splendour got me at first sight.

While admiring the Rhea crib I also came across Oeuf’s new Spring/Summer 2013 campaign which shows lots of fun and colourful nurseries and kids rooms. I’m completely loving their choice of wallpapers especially the black floral one which is so impactful. And that neon dotted wall is another lovely touch. I love finding and sharing cool kids rooms and Oeuf’s new catalogue is full of playful and pretty ideas.

When I opened up the Oeuf NYC Fall/Winter 2012 look book my heart skipped a beat. My eyes feasted on clothes, dressing up goodies and toys that took my breath away.
