If, like me, you’ve got wooden floors in your home, you’ll know just how important rugs are. They make your floors feel so much cosier. Throw a few cushions on your rug and it’s the perfect place to curl up and read a book or play a game or just snooze. Besides, a big area of wooden flooring always looks much better when broken up with rugs. And it’s exactly the same in a kids room – kids especially love to play on the floor so why not make the floor space as cosy, fun and inviting as possible.

Bring out the animals!
June 4, 2015
Animal themed decorations are so lovely for a kids room. Even if you don’t go for the whole hog animal theme, a few touches here and there are so fun. Of course you can choose colourful versions of animal decorations but I’m in love with these kind of natural tones for a nursery or kids room. I know some people think brown/beige/sand type colours are boring for a kids room but just look at these decorations – nothing boring here. All of these would look great in any colour scheme but I love the idea of combining lots of white with natural tones like these.
