"dressing up clothes and tutus"

Wovenplay’s new Spring 2012 collection has arrived and once again it surpasses my high expectations.  I so adore this New York based clothing line which always offers lots of drama and whimsy.  The outfits are bordering on dressing up clothes but can still be worn anywhere and that’s what makes them so fun, so unique, so special.

In this latest collection I’m loving the vibrant greens and luscious red pieces which have the wow factor.  There are also new feather headpieces in the collection… these headbands are something that feature in every collection and are accessories that any little girl would love.  Then there are the beautiful Jess Brown rag dolls wearing similar outfits and these too are hugely covetable like everything in the collection.  To check out these wonderful, dramatic clothes, head to Wovenplay.

"french clothing for kids"

Today I’ve got my eye on Louis Louise, a wonderful kids clothing line from the trés chic city of Paris.  Started by Julie Meiler, a designer and a mama who was inspired by her daughter who is also her muse and the cover girl for Louis Louise.  I discovered this stylish collection over at French Blossom, a store full of only the lovliest Frenchie brands.

Louis Louise create clothes for boys, girls and the cutest little ensembles for babies too.  Their collections are made out of simple fabrics and delicate prints in subtle tones complimented with rich colours like deep plums and royal blues.  The clothes are timeless yet modern, they have a certain simplicity to them but with lots of charm and of course bags of French style and elegance.  To check out their Spring/Summer 2012 collection visit my sponsors French Blossom who have a large selection on offer.  And French Blossom are also offering free worldwide shipping on all orders over €70 until 16th of April 2012.

I’ve had my eye on Les Zigouis for the longest time but recently realised that I hadn’t shared and this is definitely a brand not to be missed.  Les Zigouis is the brainchild of Barbra, a Parisian mama who has an eye for superbly unique style.  She mainly creates kids clothes that are bordering on the world of dressing up and fantasy but also makes some accessories like bags and art.  Her kids clothes are quirky and eclectic in a way I’ve never seen before and I’m very drawn to them.

There is an element of high drama to these clothes that I’m loving.  You can see that there are influences drawn from clowns and circuses, from vintage styles and from animal shapes but all brought together in an amazingly creative way which is why Barbra’s stuff is so exceptionally different.  I love the funky bear hat and also the clown like collar.  The little denim shorts with braces are very cool too.

All these dreamy clothes are part of the Spring Summer 2012 collection and you’ll find these and more over at Les Zigouis.

I’m so excited to introduce French Blossom, my newest sponsor.  French Blossom are an online store bringing together some of the most fabulous independent French kiddy designers.  You’ll find clothes, nursery decor and accessories from lovely brands like Eponime, Mimi’Lou, Bakker Made with Love, Poisson Bulle and more.  Some of the brands I’ve already shared with you but there are many more to discover.  As you know I’m a huge fan of French design for kids and French Blossom are too… that’s why I’m delighted to have them on board.

While checking out French Blossom’s store, there was one brand that immediately caught my eye.  It’s one I haven’t yet shared with you but I think it perfectly shows the philosophy and uniqueness of French design which is what we all love around here.  Loulou Eskimo is the one and they create original clothes that are playful and whimsical.  In Loulou Eskimo’s world styles can be mixed, rules can be broken; it’s all about celebrating individuality which is exactly what children are about.  The colours dominating their spring/summer 2012 collection are beautiful corals and sandy beige’s complimented by splashes of brighter hues.  The clothes are for 2 – 8 year old girls and you’ll find a selection over at French Blossom where you’ll also find other delectable French goodies for kids.

"red clothes for kids"

Christmas is over for another year but I’ve still got red on my mind so I thought I would bring you some lovely red clothes and shoes for the kiddies.  Red is such a happy colour which works for both boy and girl so it definitely gets my vote.  Here are my finds:

2.  A trendy red dress with flutter details by The Brandstrom Company.  You’ll find it at Scandinavian Minimall.

3.  A striking red trench coat by Stella McCartney Kids which is currently on sale.

4.  Sweet n’ stripy red wellies for boy or girl by Polarn O. Pyret.

5.  Gorgeous handmade belt with flowers by Bellrose. It’s on sale at Little Fashion Gallery

6.  Cute little chunky cardi/coat with a pointy hood for babies from Bonton.

"stylish kids clothes"

A few weeks ago I mentioned a shop called Flora & Henri.  It’s a little gem of a store in Seattle.  When I came across them I wrote about some amazing wooden toy boats that they were selling.  But their goodies don’t end there.  They have their own collection of kids clothes that are so, so beautiful.  Elegant, simple creations with bags of style is what you can expect.  I’m loving the mint coloured sweater with the pleated skirt, the faux fur jacket is another winner and then there are the shoes that come in the most delectable colours.  It’s all pretty fabulous stuff!  You can check out their entire collection at Flora and Henri and the good news is that they’re currently having a big sale at the moment.
