Meet Mr and Mrs Mao

October 15, 2010

"cutr toddler food bowl"Quirky, crazy, over the top design but so much fun!  Mr & Mrs Mao are little rice bowls from the near-bizarre world of Octopus.  Ebabee no.1’s got a Mrs Mao and adores the hat-lid.  The joyful anticipation on her face, not knowing whats in there, often turns to disgust when stems of steamed broccoli appear.  Randomly, we picked ours up in India of all places.  Mr & Mrs Mao kiddy bowls cost £8.50 plus £4.95 delivery.  The sites  slow to load but crammed full of stuff for anyone who fancies a bit of quirk!

P.S. Checkout Mrs Mao’s electric blue eyeshadow!

Don’t forget to have a look at our baby auction site, ebabee.

"childrens storage boxes"Oooh I’m feeling the love for these diddy little suitcases in the funkiest of retro designs.  On offer are retro fish, flowers, elephants and more in glorious oranges, yellows and purples.  These aluminium toddler storage cases have a handle and can be used to store all those oh so important treasures.  Or take them out packed with a favourite toy, snack, or whatever your kiddee can’t leave home without.  They measure around 19 x 15cms, cost £10.99 + £3.50 delivery and are available from Peanut & Pip (a store so hot, you’ll want it all).  A little tip: enter code BACKSOON15 and you’ll get 15% off if you order by 22nd October.

"military jackets for toddlers"
It’s getting chilly outside which can only mean one thing.  Winters coming and I’m thinking coats.   Off I went looking for kiddee ones and found some super hot military jackets.  The clean lines, the tailored fit, the chunky metal buttons together make a look so snazzy, you’re going to end up with the sharpest kid on the block.  The bluey-grey boys jacket is from New Look and costs £17.99 plus £3.95 for delivery while the military green cape for the girls is from Zara and costs £39.99 plus £3.95 delivery too.  They’re both available for 2 year olds and over and are guaranteed to add a dash of ‘hot’ couture to the bambinos winter wardrobe.

Have a look-see at ebabee, the auction site for babies and toddlers.

"robot sticker book"When I spotted these Hello Hanna ‘Hello Books’, I thought what a fab idea.  Being a robot fan too, I just had to share these make your own sticker story books.  In each pack, you get an accordian style foldable book and 5 sheets of buildable stickers.  Then add a 4 year old with a huge imagination and and see what they create.  The robot mission hello book costs £6 plus £3.50 delivery.  A  fab little mission for rainy days or the perfect little stocking filler, you decide.

"baby grows pack"

Baby grows or onesies, whatever you call them you’ll need many from the newbee days to toddling days.  For those who know me, you’ll know I’m not a blue for boy, pink for girl type of mama.  And plain white or cream, well that’s just dull.  I mean we’re after style here.  If you’re the same and weeping at the thought of another trip down the pink or blue aisle, or worse the cream aisle, cry no more.  Have a look at these baby grows from Vertbaudet.  They come as a pack of 7 and each one’s got a different bunny graphic made out of shapes like stars and dots… simple but stylish.  The colours include yellow, red, plum and more.  The set of 7 baby grows costs £23 with delivery at £3.99 and comes in sizes from preemie to 18mnths.  Style without the fat price tag… nice!

Oh so, so beautiful are these baby shoes, I wanna cry!  The explosive colours… hot fuchsias, aquamarine blues, sunshine yellows, lipstick reds… all made out of soft wool felt for babies under 9 months.  They’re sold on Etsy, the shop’s called LaLa Shoes and they cost from $36 plus $6 for shipping.  Give these baby shoes as a gift if you can bear to part with them, or put them on your baby and swoon away!

"Manhattan toy baby beads"

Is it newborn week? Seems to be as I have another treat for the new arrivals.  These colour-tastic beads are a super alternative to traditional rattles.  Made of eco-friendly rubberwood they’re coated in colours free of nasty toxins so babies can chew away.  With their elastic cord, these baby beads can be pulled and pushed, twisted and twirled, stretched and un-stretched… perfect for tiny hands.  Call them a rattle or a teething toy but I’m thinking mama toy too… I fancy a go!  These baby beads by Manhattan Toy cost £8.48 with free delivery and are for babies who’ve been around for 3 months or more.

"newborn bath tubs"

Baby baths just got hot.  These are so uber-cool you’ll probably want to keep them on display.  They’re shaped in the style of tummy tubs and measure 41cms high.  They come with a double wall which keeps the water warm for longer and you can choose from fuchsia, lime or aqua.  I love’m all!  The Hoppop Bano costs from £24.26 with free delivery and is made for newborns.  And when the bambino graduates to a bigger bath, the bano will make a cool and handy toy storage drum.
