"quilted baby sleeping bag"While site hopping, I stumbled across these baby sleeping bags.  Virtual hopping turned to joyous jumping.  These strikingly handsome sleeping bags got me wanting badly with their chic, contemporary looks, their arresting colour combos, their crossover style and their quilted cosiness.   They come with or without sleeves, go from 3 months to 18 and up to 85cms.

All this classy style on offer and I haven’t even got to the best bit yet.  They’re up to 50% off… whop-pee!  Hot style with half off.  Nothing thrills me more.  Head on over to Petit Home where you’ll find the long sleeved baby sleeping bag by Airdeje for £34 (reduced from £68) and the sleeveless for £39.60 (reduced from £66) plus £4.95 postage.  Bundle your baby in cosy super-chicness this winter.

Cool chalkboard stickers

November 11, 2010

"chalkboard stickers"I’m liking these chalkboard stickers.  They’d make a funky addition to a toddler’s room but I’m also quite in want for the kitchen.  Back to the kiddies though, these chalkboard stickers come in all manner of shapes from hedgehogs to hearts.  Your kiddo can write, draw or scribble away, then wipe and start again.  They cost £12-£24 from Spin Collective plus delivery at a fiver and you get a pack of coloured Crayola chalk thrown in for free. And if you’re after a particular size, just ask the folks at Spin Collective and they’ll make it just for you.

"Playforever roadster"

Oooh… shiny, glossy, uber-delicious looking cars.  These beauties by Playforever are British made and on offer are cars, motorbikes and planes, designed to last forever.  Stunningly crafted and beautifully designed, these toys have been declared safe for any age (but probably best loved by 2 or 3 year olds and over).  They measure about 12 inches and come in gleaming reds, fuchsias and blues, shimmery yellows and greens and reflectively shiny black.  Their tyres are rubber, their bodies shiny and they have been described as ‘virtually indestructible’.  If you’re buying online, head to Peanut & Pip (you already know how much I love’m),  where they cost £35 plus £3.50 for delivery.   Offline, try Habitat who have some exclusive colours.  I’m thinking these Playforever cars will make a hot, hot, hot Christmas pressie.

"Christmas craft for kids"I’m biting the bullet and going for it… my first Christmas post is here!  And I’ve picked these Christmas Creatures spotted in the Sunday Times.  They’re a set of 5 cut-out paper animals all given the festive treatment.  Make them up and hang them from your tree or use to adorn your Christmas day table. Or simply sit them on the mantle.  They’re from a sweet little store called Pookie and Peach and cost £8.75 with free delivery.

P.S. Loving little Rudolph with his red nose and all!

"penguin kids duvet cover"

New! From the uber talented Ms Isaksson is this cool (as a cucumber) Penguin Bed Linen.  A set includes a duvet cover and pillowcase with lots of little turquoise penguins lined up on shimmery-satiny cotton.  Amongst the sea of turquoise, there are bright red buttons to close the duvet cover.  All this comes neatly tucked in to a re-useable cotton envelope bag.  The duvet cover’s a single and measures 200 x 135cms and the pillowcase measures 50 x 75cms.  The set costs £75 plus £3.25 delivery.  This kids Penguin bed linen is fresh, it’s funky and it’s got bags of playful style.

"FlexiBath Folding Baby Bath"

A baby bath that folds for easy storage but yet sturdy, free of nasties like PVC, BPA, phthalates, compact, and scores high in the looks department too.  Yup, that’s the clever FlexiBath by A Real Cool World.

I got sent one and was muchos impressed.  For starters, the design obsessed cells in my brain started somersaulting in excitement.  The colours are explosive.  Hot pinks, peacock blues and lime greens are on offer.  Then we filled it and got the guest of honour in.  Ebabee no.1’s a toddler teetering on the brink of 2 years.  She fitted in comfortably, long legs and all.  We even had room for a few ducks, after all what’s a bath without ducks for company?  The FlexiBath peeps say it goes from 0 to 4 years.  My take: probably comfortably till about 2-2.5 years depending on the size of the bambino.

After we had washed and cleaned and played plenty, the bath was easy to drain and super-easy to fold away.  No pushing, tugging, sitting on top of required.  Simply fold it, close the clasp and stash it away.  If your bathroom’s cosy (otherwise called small) then this is just the ticket and perfect from day dot.  I only have a shower in mine, so I still use a baby bath.  The old ones found it’s way to the tip and the shiny new award winning FlexiBath sits proudly folded out of view!

The FlexiBath costs £20 plus £3.49 delivery.  And it measures approximately 66 x 39 cms and is 24 cms deep.

"Stella McCartney Kids"

Yes it’s true, I’m so joy-filled, I don’t know what to do!  My excitement has reached Himalayan heights!  All because Stella McCartney Kids has launched today.  The collections’ not huge in terms of number of pieces but boy, is it huge in terms of style.

All the pieces have been christened with (kiddy) names like Bella, Lee, Petra and Cosmo.  For the girlies I’m going ga-ga for the Georgia Cardigan.  It’s the silk satin and cashmere combo that’s got my attention.  The Bella dress in flame is another hottie.  I can just picture it worn with super-bright tights and boots.  For the boys, the Felix jumper’s pretty darn cool as are the Pedro jeans, especially in the turquoise.  And lets not forget the babies.  They’ve got their share of lovelies with the ash jumpsuit and the redwood Seb all in one.  Although I have to admit, the under 2’s range is pretty limited and there aren’t any accessories for any age.  Stella, we want more!

The last piece that’s a must mention for boy or girl is the Lee Military jacket.  Uber-cool with the red sleeve detail.  When Stella previously collaborated with Gap, her military jacket was snapped up by none other than Mrs Sarkozy.  Yes, THE Carla Bruni wore it.  How she fitted in to a kids size, well that’s a whole other post.  Hmm… wonder who’ll squeeze in to this one?  Prices start from £14 and go up to just over £100 and sizes go from 0 to 12 years.  Delivery’s £7 and I’m thrilled to report to my Stateside readers that Stella McCartney Kids ships to you too.

Wanted: One hot bird!

"bird nursery wall art"

A charming Spanish birdy, so, so sweet.  It’s simple, it’s stylish, it’s stunning!  Hang it up as nursery wall art or use it as a hanger (you can hang stuff off the rope legs). This Mediterranean bird’s called IYO, she measures 30cms and has been crafted from wood fibre, natural wool felt and hemp rope.  It’s from Haciendo El Indio, an online store created by Cristina Serrano.  She’s a Spanish designer who does childish without a speck of twee in sight.  It cost €39.50 with delivery at €15.  If you’re feeling splurgy, get 3 and hang them in a row for the hottest nursery wall this side of the equator.  Nursery style just doesn’t get much classier.
