Wow, wow, wow! When I saw these, my eyeballs very nearly fell out. Thankfully, they’re still there so I can stare wantingly at these prams by Playsam. Playsam are from Sweden and they make the most uber-modern, uber-minimal, sleek and shiny little wooden toy cars. And now they’re making these prams as part of a Childhood range. Measuring just 13 cms, these glossy prams with their smooth curves would make a super stylish gift for an expectant mama, a christening or a newborn. But if play’s on your mind, they’re suitable from 3 years and up. The Playsam Childhood prams are available in pink, blue and white and cost £51.31 each. Not cheap but oh so, so beautiful. I can’t stop staring… at ebabee likes we promise hot style and toys just don’t get much more stylish than this.

Zutano: Bright n’ bold animal prints for babies
December 13, 2010
Oooh… little animal repeat prints, they get me dizzyingly excited, every time. I recently discovered that the American Zutano was available here and they create the most deliciously bold and colourtastic animal prints for babies and toddlers. I’m super keen on these especially for babies under 1. On offer from Zutano are super-duper bright n’ bold owls all lined up on a tee or baby grow with a sweet matching hat. There’s also the elephants parade print (my favourite) and the roaring lions one which is pretty darn cute too. You can mix n’ match hats, tops and trousers and create the perfect look for your bambino. The Zutano tees cost £12.50 while the newborn gift sets including a baby grow and hat cost £22 with delivery at £3.75.
They’re available form The Little Legs Company and ebabee likes readers can get £5 off their first order using the code SUB5 for orders of £20 and over (hooray!). Life doesn’t get much more colourful than this!
Don’t forget to have a look at ebabee, the little baby auction site.
Christmas decoration: A teeny tiny Reindeer
December 10, 2010
Ikea’s done it again! They’ve got these tiny little soft toy reindeer’s selling for the grand sum of 39p each! They’re only teeny, measuring no more than 10cms but it’s their size that gives them endless decorative possibilities. Put a tag around their necks and use them as place settings or hang them from string and use to adorn your tree. They’d look pretty sweet lined up on the mantle or at the centre of the dinner table. But I’m thinking of using them as part of my gift wrapping instead. The possibilities are many so just get creative. They’re part of the range of Ikea Barnslig soft toys, safe to play with from birth and you’ve got to get down there to get some.

For those who don’t know, it’s a lovely little Spanish shop packed with utterly gorgeous nursery wall art, stationary and more. Now they’re offering free Christmas gift tags. There are 3 different types on offer and all you have to do is enlarge, print and cut. All the gift cards feature their signature characters who are so sweet especially the bird and the angel. That’s my Christmas gift tags sorted, now all I need is the gifts!

Nursery alphabets by the amazing Anthropologie
December 7, 2010
Ooh… alphabet’s are cool. I’m re-discovering my a,b,c’s since becoming a mama… don’t all parents? After all, they’re used on everything from wallpaper to cereals for kids and when hot design’s thrown in, they’re seriously charming. And these ones definitely have bags of charm and appeal. The vintage inspired prints, the bold colours and the letter’s themselves have got me hooked. Get one letter or spell out a whole name, the choice is yours. Whatever you do, your nursery wall is going to end up looking so super stylish, you’ll probably have Elle decor knocking on your door. The Pinwale nursery alphabets measure 18cms each, cost £12 plus £5 for delivery but they’ll only be available from February next year (can’t wait!).
Anthropologie is the store these letters come from. If you’re not familiar, this is a US store so hot, I wanna buy the lot. There are now 2 stores in central London and as of this year a UK online store too (woohoo!). It’s mainly crammed with funky, eclectic, vintage inspired clothes and housey stuff that many women would die for. Seriously. They have a small kiddy section with some lovely books and toys. Across the pond, Anthropologie have started a very limited but super stunning kiddy clothing line which I’ve had the pleasure of viewing and I’ve got everything crossed that it lands here soon. Watch this space.
Wow vintage children’s chairs
December 6, 2010
When I saw these vintage childrens chairs on Minor Details’ blog, I had to share. I can’t tell you too much as the sites in French, but I can tell you they have an absolutely to die for collection of vintage kids chairs. The two I’m lusting after the most are the red vintage highchair and the blue bench. I’m also loving the little yellow chair which reminds me of one I had as a kid and then there’s the wooden one with the red and yellow slats, which on closer inspection is actually a vintage potty chair. As for the prices they start from about €50 and go upwards but there are very many to be had for under €100. At the moment, they’re only available in France but the international sites coming soon so you can get your hands on them. If vintage kids furniture floats your boat then a visit to Edmond is a must.
The coolest ever push along toys
December 3, 2010
Well colour me happy… I’ve discovered THE push along toy. When I spotted these in the US of A, my pulse began racing faster than Liz Taylor changes husbands. They are just so wantable. I couldn’t leave the country without getting one for ebabee no.1. Back in Blighty I made it my mission to track them down and I’m pleased as punch to say mission accomplished. Made of wood and brightly coloured in non-toxic paints, the wooden push along toys comes in various animal shapes and there’s even a push along car and a push along truck. The shapes are all so charmingly simple and can double up as enviably cool nursery decor. Made by the American Manny & Simon, the push along toys measure around 10-12 inches each and cost £21.99. They’re available from a fab new store called Huggle in London (thats a whole other post). Huggle don’t yet sell online but I’m told their virtual doors will open soon. In the meantime, get down there or hold your horses!
Hot Frenchy fashion for babies
December 2, 2010
If your house folk include an under 2 year old, you just got super lucky. During one of my daily surfs I stumbled across Eponime, a French store so hot my eyes nearly popped out. Ebabee no.1’s just missed out, or rather I have. I don’t see her crying out ‘me want Eponime, me want Eponime’ anytime soon (but I might… OK I already did). The clothes are just so stunningly elegant… very understated so not to everyones taste but for me they’re up there. I’m going crazy for the lana coat for the boys and the vert for the girls. Then there’s the maria dress and the antonin pantaloons. Utterly simple, utterly stylish. The Eponime range starts from around €14 and goes up to around €75 plus €5.10 for delivery. And there’s often bits on sale in the ‘specials’ section – checkout the ruben rose tee reduced to €14. It’s a beaut!
Girly girl storage baskets
December 1, 2010
Oooh… the girly girl in me has jumped out and is dancing a jig of joy. I’m loving these baskets perfect for storing oh so many, many things. They come as a set of 2 with the larger one measuring 42cms x 10cms. The colours on offer are glorious fuchsia or deep aubergine as pictured, and are perfectly complemented by the super-bright crochet flowers. They can be used to store all manner of toys or clothes for the kiddies, but I’m thinking stack’em high with Christmas crackers or use for smaller Christmas gifts first and keep them on display. Then in the new year, adorn your girlie’s room with these. These raffia storage baskets are by Rice and cost £44 for the pair plus £4.95 delivery.
If, like me, you love pretty storage checkout these hanging storage nests. They’re cuties!
