If you’re not in to bold, bright colours but on the other hand find white spaces too blah,  pastels can work really well for your nursery or kids room.   With pastels you can choose to go with just one tone keeping it more minimal or you can mix a range of pastel shades to create a more colourful room.   Here are 5 pastel rooms to inspire you:

This is a beautiful minimal space by Aurelie Lecuyer with pastel walls that are complimented with pastel accessories like the bedding and cushions.   I love how the colours don’t take over the room but instead it’s that vintage cot that really shines and everything else works so well with it.

You don’t have to mix a range of pastel shades, just one shade used throughout the room from the furniture to the walls can work really well like in this mint coloured room.  Sticking to one colour mixed with white also makes it easier to decorate.

Pastels work with modern or vintage spaces as this room shows.  I love the distressed wardrobe and the mix of faded pink, blue and green pastels that come together for a very pretty vintage room.

For a more subtle look, you can combine pastel accessories and wall art with lots of neutral white and grey just like this cute nursery does.   Also it’s a lot easier to change wall stickers and cushions than removing wallpaper so this kind of room can grow with your child.
