How cute are these black and white baby grows, shorts and tees? A limited edition collection, I’m loving the prints especially the anchor print. All the prints are hand drawn and then printed on to the softest cotton. I’m all for simple style when it comes to dressing babies and these black and white baby grow suits and nappy shorts are nothing if not stylish.

Summer style for less
June 26, 2014
Who doesn’t love a good bargain, especially when one of your favourite shops goes on sale. Elias & Grace has been a favoruite of mine for ages. I love the chic and minimal clothes they have in their collections year after year. They stock some of the most exciting kids clothing brands and they mix and match the various brands so well to create stylish looks. Even just checking out their look book each season is so inspiring. I have bought a few pieces from them and they are some of the most versatile pieces in Anya’s wardrobe. Right now Elias & Grace have a huge sale and I have to say it’s very tempting, especially my favourite piece of all – that long black dress by April Showers. How chic is that?
Collected for mama & baby: A drop of sunshine
June 19, 2014
While I’m normally a black & white kind’a girl, I do like a bit of sunny yellow especially in Summer. Yellow is a colour that makes you feel happy the moment you see it (think Pharell Williams). So here are a few yellow things for mama and baby that I’m currently loving for the Summer months ahead:
1. pleated cotton kids dress | 2. straw storage baskets | 3. crystal bead necklace | 4. girls daffodil headband | 5. straw tote bag | 6. giraffe lambswool soft toy
Cool fashion for the boys
June 16, 2014
I’m naturally more drawn to girls fashion as I have a daughter. But the world of boys fashion is exploding with style too. Gone are the days when all you could find was basics like plain tees, trousers and shorts. So I thought I would share some of the coolest boys looks around at the moment. My favourites are that linen tie overall – how cool is that? And those red striped trousers are pretty funky too. Do you mix it up when it comes to your boys? Which look would you choose?
1. linen tie overalls… 2. striped anchor pullover… 3. button down vest… 4. bison tee and baggy trousers… 5. striped trousers and hat tee… 6. white shirt and striped shorts.
Baby shoes with a pop of colour
June 11, 2014
Yes, please to these baby and toddler oxford shoes! How delicious are they? Popping with colour, these soft suede shoes are all lovingly handmade and are a special Summer edition so they won’t be around forever. I only wish they came in bigger sizes too.
The coolest undies!
June 4, 2014
Underwear. It’s usually not the thing that excites me most for babies and kids; that was until I discovered Goat-Milk. Goat-Milk are a seriously cool underwear brand from New York City which I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to share with you. Even the name is cool, don’t you think? All their undies are made of soft organic cotton and come in a minimal palette of mostly blacks, whites and greys. My favourite is the black & white striped range which I think is striking enough to wear as outerwear too. All of Goat-Milk’s range is very pared back with the focus being on comfort, feel and of course style.
A floral Summer by Morley
June 3, 2014
Fresh florals, girly cuts and soft tones make up this dreamy Summer collection by Morley for kids. The styles, the colours and of course the floral prints all scream Summer to me. Morley is a stylish Belgian line of clothes for kids, both boys and girls. This collection is so fresh and pretty but still has an edginess that makes it really stand out. Apart from the beautiful clothes, I think their photography is so striking too.
Girls can be superheroes too!
June 2, 2014
Anya loves dressing up. Like any 5 year old girl she is very in to the whole Disney princess thing but I’m relieved that she is equally keen to dress up as a pirate or a witch or her latest obsession of being a superhero. That’s why she was delighted when she received this cute bunny superhero t-shirt with attached cape. Of course she wanted to try it out immediately and we thought that it would be even more fun if we went the whole hog – with mask and tights and all.
With the caped t-shirt on and the mask painted, Anya took her superhero role very seriously! Running through the park, jumping off wooden poles and even pretending to fly.
Being a girl superhero, Anya of course had to stop to collect daisies. That’s what I love about these t-shirts by Le Macchinine Design – they’re great for boy or girl and they’re so comfy too. So even though they can be for dressing up, they’re perfect everyday wear too. We got the bunny one but there are cool foxes, lions and owls too. It’s such a sweet and simple idea to attach a cape to a t-shirt and once worn, Anya took on a completely new persona. I love clothes like these that encourage pretend play and allow a kids imagination to fly.
While superheroes always save the day, every once in a while, even they need a helping hand from their daddys!

Retro inspired baby knits
May 21, 2014
I just had to share the cuteness that is tricot retro. I don’t know anyone who isn’t partial to hand knitted baby clothes and these retro inspired knits are so adorable. They are mostly knitted in cotton so can be worn in any season. And besides the sweet styles, I love the way they’ve been presented. Each piece is made to order which means that you can request a specific colour, a different sleeve length or change any other detail. That green and white striped outfit worn by the alligator is probably my favourite piece but really I love everything.

Almondella baby goody boxes + a giveaway
May 19, 2014
I remember the crazy buying I did before Anya was born. I bought way too much because somebody somewhere convinced me that I absolutely needed it. Of course I never ended up using a lot of the things but at the time I didn’t know any better. Recently I came across the Finnish concept of all expectant mums receiving a baby ‘starter pack’ and I thought it was such a sweet and practical idea. The State sends all mums to be a cardboard box filled with baby essentials like bodysuits, sleeping bags, bathing products, bedding and more. Once emptied, the cardboard box with a supplied mattress becomes the baby’s first bed. Isn’t that a lovely custom and so helpful for a new mum?
Almondella (a new-ish Finnish brand) has taken this concept and created a range of beautiful boxes to suit various ages from newborn to 3 years old. Depending on the age and sex of the baby, Almondella put together a box with stylish toys, clothes, books, bathing products and more. I think this is such a lovely idea so I’ve joined hands with Almondella to giveaway one box of goodies to one lucky reader. The winner’s box will be tailored to their childs age and sex and will be full of the cutest goodies as you can see from the pictures.
Most of Almondella’s products come from small, independent Scandinavian brands which offer beautiful design and products that are practical and built to last. You can order these boxes on a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription which will be delivered to your door or they also have one off gift boxes. The idea of getting a beautiful little package for your baby tailored to their developmental and physical needs is lovely. Much like the Finnish State concept, it takes the hassle out of buying and choosing. These gorgeous boxes of goodies also make a wonderful gift especially for a new mum.
The giveaway: One lucky winner will receive one Almondella gift box that has been put together specially for them based on their babies age and sex.
To enter: Simply leave a comment below with your babies age and sex.
One entry per person and this competition is open to all my readers worldwide – yay! The competition closes at midnight (UK time) on Sunday 25th May 2014. Any entries after this time will not be counted. The winner will be announced on this post and on my facebook page on Tuesday 27th May 2014.
