"serena and lily peacock baby sling"Flicking through Baby London Magazine while waiting at the doctor’s, (that’s where I head when I crave peace… just kidding!) I came across a store called Punkin Patch.  Back at my laptop, I checked it out.  Lo and behold… I found baby slings by Serena & Lily.  Serena and Lily are a US brand that create deliciously sweet baby stuff.  Their creations are utterly softly stylish and beyond beautiful.  Apart from baby slings, they make nappy bags (that are so un-nappy bag like), moses baskets, nursery bedding and more.  For now, I’ve only been able to track down their baby slings in the UK.  On offer are a few different designs of which the Peacock and Prague market slings are the stunners for me. Head over to Punkin Patch where the Serena and Lily market slings cost £120 plus delivery at £8.49.  But for my US readers… well, you lucky lot, you can have anything you like from the Serena & Lily collection.  And here’s a little look at it:

"swan bird mobile"

"migrating bird mobile"

I’ve realised I’m more than a bit partial to mobiles for babies.  Even more so when they’re as stunning as these bird mobiles.  The two that have caught my eye big time, are the majestic swan and the migrating birds mobile.  There’s just one word to describe them… wow!  How incredibly beautiful they are.  Both are made by Dame Belette, a French lady who’s inspiration is nature and poetry.  Made of paper, coupled with feathers for the swan one and natural wood for the migrating birds, these bird mobiles are definitely poetic, majestic even.  You can get them from a site called Design from Paris and the swan mobile costs €56.40 while the migrating birds mobile costs €59.90 and they ship to Europe, USA, Australia and lots more places.  Not the cheapest but sometimes beauty comes at a price.

If you’d rather make your own bird mobile (well, sort of) then have a look at this creation by Alice Melvin for under a tenner.

"biodegradeable g nappies"

It’s GIVEAWAY time… read on to find out more.

g Nappies are getting me all excited.   They’re so darn cute!  I don’t often find vast amounts of joy when confronted with a nappy (quite the opposite) but today I’ve discovered these beauties. And I’ve got a pair of medium nappy pants (13-28lbs) in orange with a pack of 32 biodegradable refills to give away to one lucky reader, thanks to the lovely mamas at Husha-byebaby. All you have to do is leave a comment below (say hi or whatever you like but keep it clean!) before midnight on Sunday 6th Feb and I’ll randomly pick a winner on Monday 7th Feb.

More about these nappies: Scoring (sky) high in the style stakes, g Nappies don’t stop there.  No, they’re big achievers in the ‘love your planet’ stakes too.  New to Blighty, g Nappies offer the best of both worlds, disposable and cloth nappy worlds, that is.  They’re a cool nappy pant which can be used with 100% biodegradable and flushable gRefills or you can opt for gCloths.  Better yet, use a combo of the two, giving you disposable when you’re out and about and washable when you can erm… wash!  To add to their long list of creds, they come in the most uber delicious colours with just the letter ‘g’ on them.  No fuss, no frills, just simple, bold, cool style.

The clever g Nappies cost from £14.95 for a nappy pant and £22.95 for 6 gCloth inserts or £9.95 for 40 gRefills and go from 6lbs to 36lbs (but one of you is gonna get it for free!).  There are a range of combo-packs which are cheaper.  Whichever way you look at it, they’re gonna come in cheaper than disposables, look SO much cooler and they’re ever so planet friendly.  It’s too late for me as ebabee no.1 is nearly at the end of the nappy road, but if ever there is an ebabee no.2… To read more about g Nappies, just click here.

Don’t forget to leave a comment to be in with a chance of winning one of these lovelies.

P.S. There’s a rumour going round that a certain eco-loving mama called Ms Julia Roberts is a fan.

ENTRIES ARE NOW CLOSED.  The winner has been announced on our facebook page.  Thanks to all who entered.

"Playsam childhood pram"Wow, wow, wow!  When I saw these, my eyeballs very nearly fell out.  Thankfully, they’re still there so I can stare wantingly at these prams by Playsam.  Playsam are from Sweden and they make the most uber-modern, uber-minimal, sleek and shiny little wooden toy cars.  And now they’re making these prams as part of a Childhood range.  Measuring just 13 cms, these glossy prams with their smooth curves would make a super stylish gift for an expectant mama, a christening or a newborn.  But if play’s on your mind, they’re suitable from 3 years and up.  The Playsam Childhood prams are available in pink, blue and white and cost £51.31 each.  Not cheap but oh so, so beautiful.  I can’t stop staring…  at ebabee likes we promise hot style and toys just don’t get much more stylish than this.

"baby grows pack"

Baby grows or onesies, whatever you call them you’ll need many from the newbee days to toddling days.  For those who know me, you’ll know I’m not a blue for boy, pink for girl type of mama.  And plain white or cream, well that’s just dull.  I mean we’re after style here.  If you’re the same and weeping at the thought of another trip down the pink or blue aisle, or worse the cream aisle, cry no more.  Have a look at these baby grows from Vertbaudet.  They come as a pack of 7 and each one’s got a different bunny graphic made out of shapes like stars and dots… simple but stylish.  The colours include yellow, red, plum and more.  The set of 7 baby grows costs £23 with delivery at £3.99 and comes in sizes from preemie to 18mnths.  Style without the fat price tag… nice!

"Manhattan toy baby beads"

Is it newborn week? Seems to be as I have another treat for the new arrivals.  These colour-tastic beads are a super alternative to traditional rattles.  Made of eco-friendly rubberwood they’re coated in colours free of nasty toxins so babies can chew away.  With their elastic cord, these baby beads can be pulled and pushed, twisted and twirled, stretched and un-stretched… perfect for tiny hands.  Call them a rattle or a teething toy but I’m thinking mama toy too… I fancy a go!  These baby beads by Manhattan Toy cost £8.48 with free delivery and are for babies who’ve been around for 3 months or more.
