mama & baby…

"pastel melamine spoons for kids"This week’s picks for mama & baby… let mama wear these cool pastel coloured shoes while baby eats with those pretty pastel spoons.

"European accessories for girls and babies"I love a good accessory or two.  My current accessory obsession is clutch bags for me and necklaces for Anya.  Today I came across these super chic ones by Italian Minimu.  Not only are there accessories for girls, but also such adorable stuff for babies.  Those bibs… so gorgeous!  And that yellow polka dotted cloth necklace; I could do with one.  Minimu also have some beautiful clothes in their new Autumn Winter 2013 collection which are definitely worth checking out.

"colour palette of blues, greens, greys"There is something so eye-catching and vibrant about turquoise blue.  So when I spotted that cool turquoise and green room it inspired me for todays pinterest colour palette.  I love using blue and green together whether it’s midnight-blue with emerald green or turquoise with a fresher green like here.  And you can always add a little grey in to the mix if you feel like you need something neutral to balance it out.

1. Turquoise and green kids room,  2. Mountain peaks kids blanket,  3. Baby ballerina shoes,  4.  Howling wolf wallsticker,  5.  Handmade doll twins.

Pins found on my pinterest boards and Milk Magazine.

"grey tutu dress"My daughter’s just started ballet lessons and wants to pirouette at every turn!  Her birthday is coming up quite soon so because of this new obsession,  I’m thinking of a ballet themed party for her.  While looking for inspiration and a birthday outfit, I came across this new collection by kids on the moon and I fell for it.  "dusky pink girls tutu"The tutu’s and the tutu inspired dresses come in the prettiest of colours that have an unusual duskiness to them.  Then there are the simple striped or solid dresses embellished with a striking bow.  The entire collection is simply beautiful and the photo styling is gorgeous too.  Since I have a daughter I’m focusing on the girls stuff but Kids on the moon have plenty of cool style for the boys too.

"polka dot wallpaper"This week’s picks for mama & baby… let mama wear this polka dot sweater with vintage inspired styling while baby sleeps in that polka dot wallpapered room.

Have you entered my giveaway yet? You could win some beautiful French clothes of your choice.

"neutral striped bed linen for kids and adults"Combine solids and stripes in subtle tones and you’re on to a winner every time.  Thats what this new range of bed linen from Barcelona does so well.  Mikmax is all about natural, neutral fabrics for a timeless and ageless appeal.  There is a kids collection but for me, the entire range is perfect for any age.  With Winter coming up, I’m loving those chunky knit blankets and cushions… I can just picture myself cosying up on the sofa with my daughter Anya and spending an evening watching her current favourite film Jungle Book.

P.S. Have you seen what I’m giving away?  Some lovely French kids clothes and you choose what you like!

"colourful wooden stacking blocks""colourful wooden toy blocks""colourful wooden animal puzzle"I am very much a minimalist at heart and adore simple wooden toys that are left in their natural state or painted in just white or black.  The simpler they are and the less color they have, the better they look to me.  But once in a while there comes along a toy literally bursting with colour and I can’t resist.  This is one of those times.  These Raitti wooden toys have been created by designer Aino-Maija Metsola for Marimekko.  In true Marimekko style, there is bright colour everywhere and the graphics are are no less bold. My favourite is the animal adorned stacking blocks but the whole range is incredibly striking, don’t you think?

"kids-clothes-giveaway"When your first child is born, I think most parents tend to go a bit camera crazy.  I know we were super snap-happy!  We have tons of photo’s of Anya’s first 6 months, then a quite a few of the next 6 months but after that the photo collection really seems to fizzle out.  Recently while going through my photos I realised this and saw that I wasn’t taking nearly enough photo’s of her anymore.  Sure, we still take them at big occasions like her birthday, holidays, her first day of school but not enough of her playing in the park, going out for a family meal or just being silly at home.

So I thought it would be fun to photograph Anya in her favourite place, the park, but it would be even better to combine this with my other passions – kids style and this blog.  So I teamed up with Juliana of Captured by Juliana (a family and kids photographer) and Nick from French Blossom to bring you this fun shoot. And as it’s my first blog shoot, I wanted to celebrate with a fantastic giveaway for you too (read on to find out more about the giveaway and how to enter). "emile et ida fall winter 2013"Most of the clothes worn by Anya on this shoot are by Emile et Ida.  If you already know this French brand, I’m sure you are a fan… who isn’t?!  But if you haven’t heard of Emile et Ida, prepare to fall in love.  Very chic, very playful with a touch of retro, Emile et Ida is probably my most favourite French brand out there at the moment.  Anya loved wearing the clothes and had great fun on the shoot.  None of the shots are posed… Juliana just let her be and do what a 4 year old does in a park and took photo’s as Anya played and did her thing. "emile et ida winter collection 2013"The giveaway:  The winner gets to choose any one item of clothing from the Emile et Ida range at French Blossom in the size of your choice.  If I could enter, I know what I would choose but more importantly, what will you choose?  I adore the cat print dress worn in the first photo but there is also a very cool cat print sweatshirt (not shown here).  There are beautiful skirts and cool stuff for boys too so you may have a hard time choosing!

To enter:  Simply like ebabee and French Blossom on Facebook and then leave a comment below to say you have done so.  If you already like the pages, then just say so in the comment.  All 3 things are mandatory.

One entry per person and this competition is open to all my readers worldwide.  The competition closes at midnight (UK time) on Sunday 6th October 2013.  Any entries after this time will not be counted. Winner will be announced on this post and on my facebook page on Tuesday 8th October.  This giveaway is now closed.  The winner of this giveaway is Abigail Fahey. Congratulations Abigail!

* This is not a sponsored post.  I thought a shoot was a fun way to share these lovely clothes.  All the clothes were loaned by French Blossom for the purpose of this shoot and have been returned and the talented kids photographer Juliana very kindly did the shoot.  All dresses and tops by Emile et Ida, tights by TroiZenfants and black skirt and shoes were our own.

"beau loves autumn winter 2013"I’m in love with Beau LOves new Autumn Winter 2013 collection.  There’s drama and adventure in every piece.  With their signature mask motif and dark pieces mixed with yellows and golds, this collection is striking and so much fun for any kid to wear.  Imagine everyday clothes that can make you feel like a superhero or an adventurer; what more can a child want? "Beau loves autumn winter 2013"In addition to the clothes, there is a new black and white bed linen range with a tiny cat print and one with the mask print.  Both are very, very cool and the best bit about the entire collection… nearly all of it is unisex so everybody gets to enjoy the fun!  The British made collection isn’t yet available on Beau LOves own site but will be very, very soon.

Happy Friday friends and there’s a fab French giveaway coming on Monday!
