"Autumn fashion inspiration for kids"

This week has seen the weather turn here in the UK.  It’s properly starting to feel Autumnal and so it’s time to bring out those warm clothes.  While I always prefer hotter weather, I am very partial to Autumn fashions for big and little alike.  All those hats, scarves, boots and socks can add so much to any outfit, taking it from simple to stunning.  Today I wanted to share a few inspirational Autumn looks I’m loving for kids.  I’m especially loving the touch of neon to liven up an otherwise muted gray outfit as seen in the first picture.  And also, a splash of mustard is another great colour to add to any Autumn outfit.

"styliash black kids fashion"

When it comes to the cooler months, my wardrobe immediately goes back to black.  There is nothing more chic than an all black look especially in Winter.  This year I’ve been thinking about introducing more black in to Anya’s wardrobe too.  Maybe a little surprising for a kid, but she does like black and never objects to wearing it.  Perhaps she wants to be more like mommy – who knows but a girl can dream, right? : )  Anyway, thinking about this I went searching to see what was out there.  I found some beautiful black clothes for kids that are so chic that I wouldn’t mind some for myself, especially those boots and the Winter hat!  And how gorgeous is that herringbone dress with the ribbon detail?  Here are my favourite finds:

1.  herringbone dress with ribbon back | 2.  pom pom ears hat | 3. colour block baby onesie | 4. pleated panel wool jumper | 5.  flared skirt with silver sparkles | 6.  two-tone leather boots

"Autumn Winter 2014 by Caramel"

Have you seen this stunning new Autumn/Winter collection by Caramel?  Caramel is an old favourite British brand that always creates clothes that are timeless and beautiful.  This is probably my favourite collection yet.  Caramel is always about delivering understated style without compromising on comfort and this collection does just that.  That skirt (pictured bottom right) – how lovely is the cut?  And that dress with the red trim?  I’m loving it all.  I’ve picked out the girls collection to share here but there is also some gorgeous stuff for boys and babies.

"knitted baby all in one romper"

I’ve never really been crazy about the adult onesie trend (thankfully it’s dying out now!) but when it comes to baby clothes, there is nothing cuter than a onesie.  These hand knitted dungaree style all in ones are possibly the cutest I’ve ever seen.  From the beautiful colours to the simple style, I’m loving everything about these stunning baby onesies.  What’s your favourite colour?

"organic cotton unisex baby bodysuits"

Once in a while a new baby clothing brand comes along that grabs my attention.  Piupia did just that.  All babies need essentials like bodysuits, leggings and blankets but just because they’re essentials it doesn’t mean they have to be boring.  With this collection you have fun and playful clothes that are nearly all unisex.  That means no baby pinks and baby blues but instead more unusual colours like ginger, mint, light grey and dark blue that are all ideal for baby boy or girl.  This cute collection is mostly themed around animals in the deep dark woods with fur inspired prints and animal faces adorning many of the 100% organic baby clothes.

"piupia baby clothes giveaway"

When I saw the collection, I loved the cute and playful feel of the clothes so I partnered with Piupia to giveaway my favourite pieces to one lucky reader.  I like all the clothes but my favourites are the adorable spotty jumper (love this), the animal face bodysuits and the fur print leggings so one lucky reader gets to win all three pieces in the colour and size of their choice.  The sizes go from 0 to 2 years so the clothes are ideal Winter wardrobe additions for your baby or even as a gift for an expectant mum.

Even if you don’t win, I recommend checking out Piupia’s organic baby clothes as they are really sweet and  designed with love by a mama who has a passion for clothes and fabrics.  In addition to the range shown here, there are also soft baby blankets, onesies, booties and more.   Besides, wouldn’t they make lovely gifts especially with Christmas coming up?

The giveaway:  The winner picked at random will win 1 bodysuit, 1 jumper and 1 pair of leggings valued at £90.50.  The winner can choose the size and the colour from the range available at Piupia.

To enter:  Simply like ebabee and Piupia on Facebook and then leave a comment below to say you have done so.  If you already like the pages, then just leave a comment.  All 3 things are needed.

One entry per person and this competition is open to all my readers worldwide.  The competition closes at midnight (UK time) on Sunday 28th September 2014.  Any entries after this time will not be counted.  The winner will be announced on this post and on my ebabee facebook page on Tuesday 30th September.  Good luck!

This giveaway is now closed.  Congrats to Petra who is the winner!

With the arrival of each season, I am always very excited to see the new collections on offer.  One of my favourite lines to check out is Pepito by Chus.  This Spanish brand of kids clothes never disappoints.  It is always effortlessly chic and striking while the clothes are still very practical and comfortable for children to wear.  This season, here are some of pieces that really stand out for me:

"kids winter coats girls"

I don’t think I’ve ever lusted after an item of kids clothing like I am over this girls Winter coat.  Chic and comfy in a colour that can be worn with anything, this coat is a stand-out piece.  I just wish came in adult sizes too.

"bloomer shorts for girls"

I’ve often wondered about bloomer style shorts for older girls – while I like the idea I’ve never seen it done quite as beautifully as these.  The style of the bloomers is playful and childish but the fabrics and colours are more grown up so the combo makes it not only appropriate for older girls but a really fun fashion piece that can be worn with or without tights.

"stylish European dresses for girls"

All the dresses have stylish cuts and interesting details like ruffle cuffs, peter pan collars or unexpected gathers.  As in the pictures, they look fab worn with just a pair of simple wellie boots.  And even with all the style on offer, the cuts are still relaxed to allow plenty of comfort and movement.  Beautiful stuff!

"Spanish girls clothes"

Last but not least are the blouses.  As with the whole collection, there is a classic yet contemporary feel to the blouses.  Those large bows and ruffle collars on many of them are really cute and girly without being fussy.  I love that these blouses can be mixed and matched so easily and worn with anything from jeans to skirts.

I’m most in love with the girls fashion probably because I want it all for Anya.  But Pepito by Chus also offer boys clothes in a smaller range as well as the most adorable baby clothes.  Check it out because I promise you will fall in love with these chic clothes.

"animal winter hats for kids"

This has got to be the cutest animal Winter hat collection ever!  Each year as the weather starts turning cooler, I look forward to buying Anya a new Winter hat.  The Winter hat is not only an essential accessory but also such a fun one too.   From babies to kids, they all look so cute in fun hats like these.

"animal knit hats kids"

This selection of Winter hats is for boys, girls and babies so nobody gets left out.   I’m really loving the whole collection and finding it hard to choose a favourite.  But if I had to choose one I think it would be the pink hat with the pom pom ears although the fluffy white bear one is so adorable too.  What’s your favourite?

"floral dresses for girls and women"

When I think of floral prints, Summer immediately comes to mind.  But recently I’ve seen a lot of bold florals that are perfect for Autumn.  Think big, bold, stand-out prints in dark tones like deep pinks, rusty reds and midnight blues.  This Autumn floral trend has me hooked for Anya and myself.

Statement pieces like these would look great paired with a solid colour or if you’re brave enough, you could try mixing them with another simple print like polka dots or stripes.  For the more adventurous amongst us you could even try mixing two floral prints – I will admit I’m not brave enough to do that!  I’ve picked out a few of my favourite pieces for mama and baby and while they’re all striking, I’m quite in love with those floral print girls wellies and the floral tights for women.  Both would create quite a stunning Autumn look when worn with solid muted colours and that’s the kind of look that appeals most to me; one statement piece that really shines.   Here’s where you’ll find these pieces:

1. floral print women’s tights | 2. floral canvas overnight bag | 3. printed skinny jeans for girls | 4. modern floral print skirt for girls | 5. leafy baby bloomer | 6. floral wellies for girls | 7. floral tunic dress for women | 8. girls hair clip

Farewell Summer style

September 1, 2014

"kids on the moon Poland"

I have been resisting saying goodbye to Summer because it was all too fleeting for me.  But come September, I have no choice but to accept that my favourite season has passed for another year.  This Summer we managed to spend a lot of time outside enjoying many of London’s outdoor spaces and events but we also managed to get away and spend a bit of time in the English countryside.  Apart from missing all the outdoor time, I will miss Summer fashion too.  One of my favourite pieces in Anya’s Summer wardrobe was this gifted flowy top with the soft feather drawing.

"girls Summer tops""white summer tops girls""kids on the moon Summer"

This beautiful top is a limited edition fashion meets art collaboration between Kids on the Moon and Taiwanese artist Hsiao-Ron Cheng.  It’s such a comfy top too with it’s flowing style and leather tie detail at the neck.  Kids on the Moon are one of my favourite kids clothing brands because they always offer something different and something original.  Just like this top with the feathers and the unexpected leather tie straps, every piece of theirs has originality and unexpected details but never compromises on comfort and practicality for kids.  I can’t wait to see what Kids on the Moon have in store for us for Autumn and Winter.

"hand knitted baby clothes to buy UK""hand knitted childrens clothes""buy knitted baby clothes uk""hand knitted baby clothes uk""knitted kids clothes uk"

I’ve always been a huge fan of hand knitted baby and kids clothes and these ones are my latest obsession.  Not trying to be fashionable or trendy, these are charming clothes made by hand and made to last through generations.  I’m lucky enough to have a mum-in-law who knits for Anya so I have bags full of baby knits that I’m saving for the next generation.  But if I didn’t, I know I would invest in some timeless classic pieces like these, that will never go out of style.  These knitted baby and kids clothes by Hambro & Miller currently go from 0 to 4 years but will soon go up to eight years and there’s even a homewares range coming soon.  All British made with love, the collection is quite special, don’t you think?
