Officially, we may be past the season of quilts. But in truth, we always need some warmth to hand as the British weather is famous for it’s non-compliance! And besides, these baby quilts are just too delicious to pass up on. Handmade by Got me in Stitches, these quilts are uber-modern with their bold solid colours and large un-fussy graphics. Many are embellished with a bird or two while all are embellished with heaps of style. And when you’re done using it as a kiddy quilt, they’re more than stunning enough to become wall hangings to brighten up any space. To get your hands on these quilts, head to Got Me in Stitches Etsy shop where they cost from $105 plus $15 for shipping.
P.S. We’re running a giveaway. There’s vouchers to be won. Check out and like our Facebook page for all the details.
Flicking through Baby London Magazine while waiting at the doctor’s, (that’s where I head when I crave peace… just kidding!) I came across a store called Punkin Patch. Back at my laptop, I checked it out. Lo and behold… I found baby slings by Serena & Lily. Serena and Lily are a US brand that create deliciously sweet baby stuff. Their creations are utterly softly stylish and beyond beautiful. Apart from baby slings, they make nappy bags (that are so un-nappy bag like), moses baskets, nursery bedding and more. For now, I’ve only been able to track down their baby slings in the UK. On offer are a few different designs of which the Peacock and Prague market slings are the stunners for me. Head over to Punkin Patch where the Serena and Lily market slings cost £120 plus delivery at £8.49. But for my US readers… well, you lucky lot, you can have anything you like from the Serena & Lily collection. And here’s a little look at it:
My heart is pounding boom-boody-boom, my head is giddy with excitement all because I have discovered Bholu. What beautiful stuff with an equally beautiful ethos behind it. The creation of Aussie designer Jodie Fried, Bholu supports rural and urban communities in India. The artisans hand craft and embroider each piece while the drawings are by children from the underprivileged slums of India. Bholu also supports and helps with the building of schools in India. Respect to Jodie.
Back to the Bholu creations though (lest you think I’ve gone all gooey), they’re oh so high on style injected with lashings of simplicity to create hugely wantable goodies. On offer are cushions, wallpaper, throws, night lights and soft toys all embellished with the sweetest of kiddy drawings. The colours are a combo of bold and neutral often with the subtlest of embroidery which is truly wow. I love it all but if I had to pick a favourite, well I’ve fallen madly for Ignatius Critter. To checkout these wonderful creations, head to the Bholu website and once you’re done drooling, checkout their stockists for retailers in Europe, USA and worldwide.

I am feeling buckets of love and lust for this sheep bedding. How simple but how stunning! If you’re getting to know me, you’ll know that minimalism is my thing. And this sheep bed set just does it for me, big time! It’s not fussy, it’s not frilly, it’s just uber stylish but still has bags of childish sweetness. The sheep bedding comes from Les Petites Emplettes who it seems have a penchant for sheep. And why not when their sheep designs are so yummy! The sheep bedding set includes a 30 x 20cm pillowcase and a 60 x 60cm duvet cover and costs €110 from Smallable. You can also buy at Les Petites Emplettes where there’s a bit of a sale going on but you’ll have to decipher the French to buy from them. They’ve even got some matching cushions too, which score equally high in the want stakes.
I’m a bit fussy when it comes to bambino bedding… OK, a lot fussy! So, I don’t often bring you baby bedsets, kiddy duvet covers and the rest. Ooh… the Frenchies have done it again. This time in the guise of a shop called Clemence G. Bursting with goodies in colours so bright, you might need to don a pair of sunnys! It’s a space filled with bambino bedding, nursery decor, soft toys, t-shirts, wrapping paper and more. All in hot, bold colours teamed with quirky graphics and funky prints. I’m lovin’ it. And in even hotter news, there’s more than a bit of a sale on with stuff up to 60% off and free delivery on sale stuff even to the UK! So if you’re a colour mad mama, now would be a good time to strike. And while you’re there do check out the chicken carpet… quirkylicious and cool at it’s best! Check out Clemence G… it’s seriously funky! (So much that I’ve just ordered a tee).
